A Newbie Hanger - Wrapping Tips?

A Newbie Hanger - Wrapping Tips?

I just bought my first Bib Starter a few weeks ago, and finally got the opportunity to start playing around with it. I’ve done my fair share of lurking on the Hanging forum and scouting for tips that would apply for my situation, but haven’t been able to find everything I was hoping to learn. I hope starting this thread will help new hangers like me.

My plan:

I am planning to start hanging with the Bib Starter, doing three 15-minute sets per day (with 10 minutes of rest in between). For my wrapping, I’m planning to try just the light-grey Theraband that came with my order (which I cut into a 1.5 X 15 inch strip) by itself and see how it feels. I’ll experiment with more custom wrappings if I find the Theraband to be too uncomfortable on its own.

My questions:

I am uncut and am also a grower (Flaccid: 3.25 inch length, 3 inch girth, Erect: 6.25 inch BPEL, 5.2 inch mid-shaft girth), which means I have quite a bit of extra skin when flaccid. Furthermore, when stretched flaccid, my girth is very thin (~2 inches).

This has made wrapping the Theraband very difficult. Specifically, even when I attempt to wrap tightly, it never seems to be tight enough. My wrapping often slides over my glans during hanging, due to the extra foreskin and my very thin girth when flaccid. How do I combat this?

Another question I have is whether it is normal for the Theraband wrap to have “folds” in it while wrapping. (Following Bib’s pictures in the Wrap tutorial thread) I make the first wrap perpendicular to the shaft, I then start angling the wrap slightly to spiral down the shaft. As I change the wrap’s direction slightly downwards to do this, I always get a fold along the bottom of the wrapping strip that feels quite uncomfortable. Is this avoidable?

I’ve tried several times over the past few days to get the wrap to “feel right”, but it’s been incredibly difficult. Any help, tips, or links would be much appreciated!

Update:

Since this first post, I’ve experimented quite a bit on my own, and did some further research into existing threads. Currently, my technique is one that works fairly well on myself. I wanted to give this update for anybody looking for a discussion around wrapping uncut growers such as myself, and ask for opinions on the safety of my wrapping technique.

I start off my hanging session with some heat and a full erection. No masturbation or jelqing, but simply allowing it to be fully erect. Then I wait for my erection to subside slightly, but not completely. I look for the window of time where my penis is plump, full, and spongy, but not rock solid. I have found this is a good time for me to put on my hanger.

Firstly, for my inner wrap, I wrap a microfiber cloth around the base. I then wrap the silver theraband around the microfiber cloth (2 inch X 15 inch strip). To perform my wrappings, I scrunch as much foreskin as possible at the base of my shaft, so that it bunches up towards the base. I then wrap the microfiber and theraband as closely as possible towards the base, but above the foreskin folds. This allows for most of the weight to be transferred to my shaft instead of my skin during hanging. An important difference between my wrapping technique and the one recommended by Bib is that I try to wrap as close as possible to the base, while Bib recommends at least 1.5 inches from the wrap to the head. I’ve found that wrapping it as far as possible from the head is necessary to get the hanging pressure in the right places. This could be due to the shape of my shaft, as well as my length.

I now attach the hanger. When I clamp the hanger shut, due to my semi-erection, my shaft and head immediately pressurize and become taut. Pressure builds up in my penis, and the hanger acts like a clamp in this phase. Blood is forced from the hanger to expand the entire penis and shaft - I do not yet tighten the bolt at this phase, as the pressure can become too intense.

I now attach an extremely light weight to the hanger, less than 1/2 pound. This amount of weight already feels extremely intense, as the clamp-strength and weight of the hanger are now both contributing to the pressure inside my penis. It goes without saying that this phase must be taken with extreme caution, listening to your body as you go.

As the weight continues to hang, the blood inside my penis continues to slowly pass through the attachment region into my base - over the next few minutes, my penis becomes more and more flaccid. As this happens, the hanger naturally slides down towards the head, as the amount of blood and engorgement lessens. The blood is essentially squeezed out of the head region. Think of this as a very huge and slow jelq - instead of your hand doing the jelq, it is the hanger.

As this “jelq” happens (over the course of 2-5 minutes) I continuously adjust and tighten the bolt on the hanger so that the hanger stays tight on my penis. Since I am becoming more flaccid, the hanger must be tightened to maintain the same grip and pressure. Then, what happens is what I call the “arrival”. The hanger finally “arrives” at the optimal hanging position (for me, this is 1/2 inch away from the head). As it settles into its destination, I fully tighten the hanger and prevent further slippage.

A very important factor for my hanger staying in place - and thus why I’ve used this experimental method - is that the head MUST be engorged for the hanging to be comfortable and effective for me, personally. For the first week and a half, I tried hanging by starting out completely flaccid, and felt the wrong kind of discomfort during the hanging session, as well as poor PIs the following mornings. No matter how I tried wrapping, I found the issue was that there was not enough engorgement and padding on my shaft (not enough blood) to allow the hanger to grip my shaft at all. Thus, I began experimenting with starting off with a semi-erection.

For my sessions, I now hang for 3 sets of 30 minutes each (with 10 minutes of rest in between). During my 10 minute rests, I first induce a full erection, and then slowly allow it to subside, and helicopter/massage for the rest of the time. I hang with max 1.5 pounds, and find that it is MORE than enough for where I am currently. I made the mistake of starting out with 2.5 lbs, and realized this was another reason why I had such poor PIs after hanging - it was simply too much for my penis. Everyone is different, listen to your body.

I have been consistently hanging with this method for almost a month. Though I have not measured officially this past month, I’ve been very satisfied and impressed with the results. This method not only has given me a plumper hang while flaccid, but has also given me more girth at my head/top of my shaft, as well as a little bit of length. My PIs are all very positive, and my erection qualities do not suffer at all.

The only concern I have is that while hanging, my head turns purple-ish (darker) in color. I do not feel any tingling or numbness or pain, and periodically I softly grip my head while hanging to make sure I can feel everything normally. When I do this, my head is usually very cold to the touch. I would like anyone’s advice on whether or not this is dangerous, and whether it has to do with circulation. Visually, the discoloration looks a little scary, but it always goes away during my rest periods and is not noticeable by next morning. Physically, I don’t feel there is any discomfort or danger to injury, and I believe my positive PIs reaffirm this. Still, I thought it’d be good to ask the pros here what their thoughts are on head discoloration by hanging.

My ultimate goal is actually a larger base-girth, as I have a slight baseball bat shape. Length is simply an added bonus that I also welcome. I will continue to update this thread if I find anything new to report in the coming months. Maybe I’ll post progress updates and measurements when I finally get around to measuring!
