Lack of testosterone

What are the symptoms of lack of testosterone?

Would increasing testosterone lead to growth? How can you increase testosterone?

There is literally a world of information at your fingertips regarding this matter. Just Google search “low testosterone” and you will be bombarded with useful information about symptoms, treatments, and supplements/medications (hormonal and herbal, alike) that should answer most, if not all, of your questions.

Off the top of my head, some general symptoms of low T include lethargy, low sex drive, decreased erection strength, decrease in appetite, and increase in body fat/loss of lean muscle mass.

No human being lacks testosterone - it’s quantity simply varies by the individual based on genetics, diet, exercise habits, etc.

Increasing testosterone will assist with muscle growth, but not penis growth.

There is a vast amount on the web about increasing testosterone naturally, especially on bodybuilding sites.

Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. And the ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth.

Have a look at - RickM - RickM’s pics

As far as I know, Testosterone levels have no bearing on how tall you grow. It’ll certainly add muscle and make your gym work easier, but still limited by genetics, so some do better than others.

However, if you go down this path, you must be VERY careful — you can screw yourself up easily (become infertile, grow man boobs, get prostate or breast cancer, etc). Make sure you buy from a reputable person and MAKE SURE YOU CYCLE. There’s heaps of stuff on the web on this.

Alternately, if you’re an older fart like me, its best to do it all under a doctor’s direction through HRT (hormone replacement therapy). A doctor will only help, though, if your levels are VERY low.

I was on HRT, but I started the mediterranean diet, and cut out almost all red meat months ago. Have totally stopped taking the testosterone and been taking vitamin b, lecithin concentrate, multi vitamin, melatonin, and have gotten back to my old self. I eats lots of carbs and bell peppers. I think there is a lot us guys on HRT can do to help the situation, but it varies for each perons and their body makeup.

Constant fatigue, like mind numbing fatigue and exhaustion
Lack of interest in things that used to interest you. (Ex, Did you used to play guitar everyday? and now you never do because it is way too much trouble to open your guitar case?)
Lack of mental clarity (I can’t learn anything new anymore)
Decreased work perfomance (Can’t finish projects, can’t even start projects)
Dead Libido (I don’t care about sex. I don’t care that I don’t care about sex.)
Depression
Irritability/Anger (every little thing sets you off, and you are mean as hell about it)

If you are concerned get labs done. You are probably fine.

But nobody has answer the question if high levels of testosterone, help with the penis growth

The answer is no it will not help with penis growth. Firegoat answered that.

The bolded part is very important, since all of these symptoms are more commonly caused by major depression. I think some guys incorrectly self-diagnose themselves as having low testosterone because of the special stigma that mental disorders carry for men.

Yes, my doctor tested me three times, each one month apart, before deciding that my TT levels were truly through the floor and I needed to go onto HRT. Actually, I think that is Australian law. What I do know, is that each time he renews my subscription, he has to phone for an authorisation in Canberra. Last time, I came to him a week early (I have 3-monthly checkups, each with a blood test) and I still hadn’t filled the last script. The authorising people wouldn’t issue the code that would allow a new script to be filled and I had to come back after it was done. It’s very tightly controlled here.

If your TT levels are low, but not off the scale, sure — there are lots of things you can do to make your balls work better. Exercise, diet, avoiding certain drugs and taking certain herbal compounds are among these. Low TT symptoms can be wiped out by doing the correct thing.

Depending on where your meat is grown, oestrogen compounds are used in some cases to promote animal growth. Unfortunately, these can still be present when you and I eat them. Avoiding such meats is essential if you’re concerned about your TT levels. My wife buys only organically grown foods, but these are not available in all parts of the world and are usually quite expensive.

However, there is a point when it becomes like flogging a dead horse (your balls won’t work no matter what you do) and HRT is the only option. Only a blood test can show this properly.

Conversely a fair number of men suffering from testicular failure are incorrectly diagnosed with depression. So labs are absolutely necessary.

Agree, sta-kool — and very much unlike primary depression (unfortunately), low testosterone can be treated 100% effectively. I would certainly get a testosterone test if I were having low-energy depressive symptoms.

Part of the problem is that most people think testosterone is just muscles and hard-ons. But it is responsible for so much more of who we are.

It might be a good idea for all guys to get tested even if you are feeling great, so at least you will have a baseline in case things go wrong later on.

That would make it a lot easier to get the dosage regulated — you and your doc would know what you needed to hit in order to feel good again. Less trial and error.
