Theres not really a noticeable smell, it might be a little greasy but not enough for anything noticeable, just try to get it mostly on the scalp and avoid too much on hair.

I just started, 1 month in, and Im seeing tiny new hairs along the hairline, I hope its not my imagination only time will tell.

5% Rogaine is very greasy. Some folks claim good results using it once a day. You might want to try that and apply it at night to see if it helps so it won’t gunk up your hair during the day.

"Look what your brother did to the door!"

Okay got some questions from you nice folks.

I am going to do this recommendation:

Nizoral 2% 3 x a week
5% Minoxidil 2x a day (target brand)
1x a day Spiro 5% (where can I get this?)

I have a receeding hairline. I am 31. I have no male pattern baldness in my family. I know where my hairloss comes from its probably a combination of a crappy diet (too much fast food/cheap food) and stress from my job personal life. I cannot change the stress in my job as it is probably psycological i.e. I am easily stressed (suffer from social anxiety etc) so nothing I can do about it, i.e. quiting whatever will just face the same stress at another job.

I am wondering what kind of styling products you guys use? I have kind of nappy hair and cannot get away without using some sort of gel, mouse whatever to style my hair. Otherwise my hair looks like a poofy mess.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I kind of have poofy hair too, and I think that baby oil, or other oil based products work best for me. Just enough to make may hair shiny and softer, but not greasy. I can’t stand gels or products that are hard, crunchy, or sticky.

What works best to slow down receding hairline (the “M” shaped baldness)? I tried Rogaine on the left and right temples but it doesn’t make much difference.

Rogaine will slow it down but you need something to fight the dht in your scalp. I use Rogaine 5% once a day and Nizoral 1% 3 to 4 times a week and generic Propecia and have had very good results. The sooner you start the better it will be these products are great at restoring hair follicles that are shrunken but as far as growing new hair that’s different once that hair cell dies your have less of a chance.

Isn’t Nizoral a dandruff shampoo? What does it do to hair loss? Can’t you use it daily?

Hey bro you need to read the whole thread and you will get a ton of information on hair loss. Nizoral for some reason has been shown to fight hair loss and it has really worked for me. I wouldn’t use it every day because it’s very strong and stays active on your scalp try to use it 4 days and see if you can tolerate it it doesn’t bother me at all. Pay close attention to leatherface he gives a lot of good information on hair loss.

Has anyone tried this?.

I bought some about three months ago.The stuff has actually reduced the amount of hair I had been losing each day.My girlfriend says I’m growing new hair on the crown, though I don’t notice it. Could be because I stand under the most glaring light I can find when I look.Unfortunately,I’ve not noticed anything on the hairline.I have a slightly receding hairline, not bad but gaining speed. The stuff is pricey at about 90 dollars to get started. They also send you a new bottle of shampoo every month unless you tell them to stop.I’m not sure whether or not to continue with it for another three months and see what happens or just move on to something like Dino and Leatherface have been using.Any thoughts? On a side note,DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on any nioxin products. They are very over priced and completely worthless.I know because I wasted two years and about 600 dollars on them.

That is one cheesy website:)

I was totally blown away. It was true. I had stopped loosing hair!

I don’t tend to trust important medical decisions to an illiterate retard who can’t even use a spell checker on his own commercial web site.
Seriously though, why spend money on anything that has no scientific evidence to support its use? I just don’t understand that attitude. Chainz, you said you wasted $600 on nioxin, so why didn’t you learn your lesson? You will always find people who will be happy to take your money, so why don’t you figure out a better method of deciding who you should give your money to?

Hi Dino

Didn’t you say you saw good results with Revivogen? What were your results like?

a529612

Dino is right. Minoxidil only really buys you time. You may grow hair but the balding process will continue. To date, the most effective treatment for MPB (in my opinion) is what is referred to as the ‘Big 3.’ Finasteride, Minoxidil and Nizoral.

Yeah I really like Revivogen I just didn’t like the price though. When I was using both Revivogen and minoxidil I was getting some great results. I’m thinking of trying it again soon I’m hoping I get some profitable side work soon so I can justify spending more money on my hair I’m starting to feel like a high maintenance bitch

When you say results, what did you experience? Regrowth? Thickening of existing hairs? I’m curious because the feedback I see from Revivogen usually isn’t that positive. Could it be the minox was what was giving you the success?

Also, https://www.folica.com sells 3 bottles for $89. They say it a 3 month supply if 2 mls a day are used. Perhaps you could reduce your dose to 1 ml and stretch it to 6 months?

"Look what your brother did to the door!"

The stuff never lasted the three months it was 99 when I bought and 20 bucks for the shampoo which is excellent by the way but pricey. I had gotten good results with just the Revivogen adding the minox was a later after thought that seemed to work even better. I don’t think I grew to many new hairs but my hair got much thicker it was no doubt blocking the DHT from shrinking and killing my hair follicles. I never let myself go bald I think that is really important this stuff will bring back what you have. It’s funny the right front side of my head has totally filled in with hair hardly any V at all on that side but the left side while it filled in a lot it wasn’t as successful as the right. I did have more hair thinning on the left than right it makes no sense. I can’t say how this stuff would work for other people but I know if money wasn’t a issue with me I would order some again.
