- PE is about understanding your physiology and using ways to change it in a positive way.

Learn to enjoy PE the way you can so it does not seem like a burden!
- Whenever you struggle with being consistent or making gains, rethink your environment and methods, and change will happen naturally, whatever form it may take. Sharing your experience with others, like you do on this forum, is a tremendous help. We are social animals!

The list could go on forever. I encourage you to read the big gainers stories, veterans threads, 101s, etc. Our bodies have not changed for centuries, so the basics of PE are still the same than they were in the past. Have faith in them :)

One thing I haven’t really thought about was the the long-term perspective after reaching our goals.
We often get carried away that we forget the journey.

I should really make a reading list with the 101s and vet threads to catch up over the next months.

Since consistency seems to be key, I make every effort to keep it.

Other learnings:
- An electrical heating pad comes in handy for pre-warming the cylinder and keeping the heat during the session. Feels much better.
- Besides heat, firegoat rolls help relaxing after a set.
- I’ve read mixed opinions about this. But as per @Houstonwoods recommendation, I avoid ejaculation after a session to keep the engorgement. It starts getting easier each time.
- Instead of cumming, I experiment with short cock ring sets after sessions to keep the engorgement over longer periods during the healing process.

I haven’t taken any measurements yet, so the following is just my perception.

After pumping, the first times, it went straight to normal.
The last few times, it stayed engorged for a few minutes.

My flaccid feels longer, softer, yet thicker than before.

If this is temporary or permanent, I cannot judge.

I’m still quite new to this, so these are a newbie’s first impressions πŸ˜‰

I use:
- Thickwall’s Heavy Duty Pump:
- Thickwall’s Deluxe Flanged Cylinders:

Pros:
+ Cylinder is comfortable on skin
+ Holds pressure extremely well
+ Great material quality
+ Pump has a gauge to control pressure
+ Sizing worked well with @gprent’s how-to: Selecting Your Cylinder Size
+ Tube is long enough to put the heavy handle aside
+ Pump has pressure release switch
+ Easy connector for the pump on top of the cylinder
+ Cylinder can be disconnected from the pump while holding the pressure
+ Shipped within a week (but for EU fellas: Brexit could change this soon)

Cons:
- Quite heavy (pump made from metal, was important for me to)
- In hindsight: a little overpriced, especially the cylinders, but I deliberately went for a premium solution right away to be on the safe side
- Gauge mount is slanted => Reading the current pressure is difficult if it’s laying on the table, but works well with pump in hand
- Gauge scale starts at 5 inHg which is on the upper scale of what vets recommend for beginners. To pump at 3 inHg means guesswork

Overall I don’t regret this purchase: I’d give it a 4 star rating for now, due to the last 2 points.
