First Week - Tentatively Taking It Slow

So I have been lurking here for months. Last year I started with the Angion Method but felt it gave me discomfort at the base and stopped. Following this I had an unpleasant internal infection so now am jumping on the newbie routine.

My goals are a to add just a little extra but mainly to improve my currently lower EQ and also response time.

My first week has been a very slow step up as I do not want any injury.

- 5mins warm up
- 3mins stretch
- 2mins jelq
- Massage/warm down
1 on, 1 off

I’m going to now up this gradually over the coming weeks to:
- 5mins warm up
- 5mins stretch
- 5mins jelq
- massage warm down
2 on, 1 off

I’m also hoping to get firm enough to get an accurate measurement.

Right now I’m struggling to get much above a 7/10 solo but can get to 8/9 with my wife.

Also at month 5 of porn detox

Lots going on to make steps in the right direction!

The community here helps me know I’ll get there!

Into week two and up to 3mins for both stretch and Jelq.

So far a better hang and improved EQ the other night. Possibly psychological but that’s all good with me! Taking it slow and will stick with 1 on 1 off for a while.

Also had some night/morning wood coming back which suggest better function/circulation.

I think I’ll add a minute per week and see how it goes. Unable to get firm enough on my own for a good measurement so far. The EQ is the biggest driver for me right now.

Anyhow, the information in that thread has been very helpful to me in the short time I’ve been here with regards to guidance on my routine. For example, I’ve gone from basically no night wood / morning wood to night wood waking me a couple of times per week and morning wood on average every other day, and have maintained positive PIs for most of the time.

As EQ was my primary reason for beginning this effort, this has been by far the biggest blessing for me.
