Okay so was able to increase the tension after going 3 days in a row. Looking back at the log It would seem that twice a week is good for maintenance but not enough for progress. Given that 3 days in a row led to progress I’m inclined towards 3 on 1 off 2 on 1 off.

One more thing there was a definite tension increase with just turning off the pad and not having to remove it for the cooldown. I’m favoring this method as the cooling is more gradual.
