There are two schools of though with regards to pumping, one school says pump to a certain level and leave it there for the duration of your session. The other uses cycles. They will pump up to a certain point, leaves it there for between 30 seconds and 3 minutes, then releases the pressure. Then repeat the cycle as many times as they can fit into a 10 minute session.

Which method do you use? How long does each pumping session last for?

I use both methods. And they can range any where from 5 to 30 minutes these days. Usually 10-15 minutes. I pump 3-4 times a day every day.

Actually, what you are doing sounds a lot like me when I got started years ago. I thought I would be different from the guys who preceded me and my stubbornness made me take a very long time to change.

The thing is, once you get some discoloration from high pressure pumping, a lot of that damage can be masked by continued high pressure pumping as lymph fluid tends to wash the skin clean over extended periods, but the cell damage still exists.

When that damage really shows up is when you take a break for several days and when you start up again, the discoloration is quite severe, but again it can be masked with continued high pressure pumping. Eventually though, the damage becomes too much and your results suffer more and more.

Anyways, maybe you will be different. I wasn’t.


The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Yes, I actually faced this in the past and had to take weeks off pumping; I thought I solved this problem with shorter but more frequent sessions. I also reduced the pressure considerably compared to before. I just like to use high pressure mainly to get fully expanded in the beginning, which takes about 30 seconds, then after that I usually leave the pressure in between 5-7 Hg. I use water too, which has helped immensely with preventing decline in EQ. I base what I do on my EQ. My EQ hasn’t suffered from what I’ve been doing. I’m not not pumping 4 times a day at ridiculous pressures for periods of over 15 minutes. When I said I pumped 3-4 times a day, I meant it more as an estimate considering that I pump for shorter periods now.

Sometimes I only pump for 5 minutes or even 10, 15 minutes is the longest I go now; I’ll go 20 minutes or a bit more on rare occasions, such as a date night or when I plan on being with a girl. A big reason why I like to pump is because it removed my discoloration actually, so I’ve noticed in the past when I did stop for a few days my penis did darken up; pumping always helped my EQ for the most part….the only time it made it worst is when I pumped for over 20-30 minutes in between pressures of 7-10 Hg, and I used to do that twice a day. And we both know that my dick is getting bigger, so I doubt the damage is that significant; damage is expected to some degree and is guaranteed when we do PE , and as long as growth occurs and my penis looks good…I’m happy.

Not really sure what you mean, but to be perfectly frank with everyone…I just do what I feel like with PE. There is no schedule or set plan of sets and reps. I usually pump for 5-10 minutes then after I edge with a clamp on while watching porn; some times after I clamp I will do some manual PE. I do this usually 3 times a day but sometimes 4 times, and sometimes I will pump longer then 10 minutes. I prefer to do PE throughout the day. Keep in mind I multitask. I’m actually warming up right now to pump for the first time today.

We are all different in our tissue and chemical compositions. Certainly there are guys who can handle 10 HG without a blip. For most of us though, 10 HG simply destroys penile cells by rupturing some and exploding others, and in very large numbers.

Let’s keep in mind the object of PE and that is to build more penile cells; more skin cells, larger cavernosal chambers, more tunica cells, more efficient endothelial cells, etc.. We want to encourage division rather than cell death. What we are trying to do is build permanently larger cocks, not tear them down by even small degrees along the way.

Each adventure into high vacuum pressure has a cost. Each event of a “doughnut” or lymphatic fluid edema makes that bloat more likely to occur again as tissue in those areas weakens. Each occurrence of “red spots” (which some guys into PE actually think are a sign of progress) are the result of capillary explosion. In order to have good erections we need healthier blood conduits, not injured ones.

Yes, some men need pressures higher than 3 – 5 HG just to get an erection in the tube. However most of us get fine results in the 3 – 5 range. All of us vets here in the Pumpers’ Forum have tinkered with higher pressure for longer or shorter times. It’s a temptation hard to resist.  However, over years of experience, nearly all the vets have agreed that lower vacuum pressure and shorter pumping sets, and patience, have been the keys to our gains.

Clubber, I followed a few of your other threads so I’m glad to see you’ve moved over to this section to start a thread about what has worked for you in regards to pumping.

What I’m interested in knowing though, since you pump and clamp at higher pressures, what have you seen in terms of discoloration?
