Pumping after vasectomy

Pumping after vasectomy

A few years ago, I had a inguinal hernia repair on the left side. At the same time, I had a vasectomy done, but not the usual kind. On the left side, the surgeon snipped the vas deferens up inside the abdomen (while he was already “in there” doing the hernia repair). On the right side, however, he did the usual vasectomy—went in through the front of the scrotum to snip the vas deferens, so both ends of the vas deferens are (as far as I know) left loose inside the scrotum.

My PE routine is jelquing, pumping, and some edging. When I first started pumping (over 16 months ago), I experienced some aching in the scrotum. (See Scrotal ache after starting to pump.) The aching went away after while, but now it’s back. Here’s what is going on, as far as I can figure it out:
My right testicle normally “hangs” higher than the left one, so if any scrotal skin gets pulled up into the vacuum tube, it will be on the right. I fill the tube enough that my balls don’t get sucked in, but sometimes it feels like a vessel—probably the right vas deferens—is sucked up into the tube. It doesn’t hurt badly, it’s just very uncomfortable unless I back down the psi in the tube… which defeats the purpose of pumping. Anyway, it leaves an achiness after doing PE. I’ve tried a ball strap or tourniquet just above my balls to minimize the problem, but that seems to aggravate something as well (either the vas deferens or the epididymis… I’m not sure which).

Anyone one else out there who’s been “snipped” who has dealt with this? Any suggestions?

I have made the switch to low pressure pumping for reasons other than yours, but I think you should make the switch also. By increasing pump set time with low pressure I am able to achieve better long lasting results compared to high pressure pumping which for me often results in boarder line discoloration and bloating.

Try entering the cylinder with an erection and only use 3.5”hg max. Pump for several 10 minute sets with light jelqing in between sets. See if that not only eliminates your ache, but also improves your result.

Thanks for the suggestion. However, what’s “pow pressure?” I couldn’t find it on a search of TP.

I’m sure he means low pressure

So am I.

GM

Now I learned some Spanish to…

Pow actually means finger hits wrong key in Chinese. Just kidding. I corrected the above text to read low.

Months ago, the handle on my miteyvac cracked almost all the way through, making the gauge unusable. I’ve had to use oral suction for the vacuum tube. But until I repair the pump (so as to measure 3.5 psi), I’ll try to back off to POW pressure. Thanks for the Chinese lesson. :)
