How to prevent red spots

So even at minimal pressure of under 5hg I get the tiny red spots. I do about 5 minutes per day. I do every other day or every 3 cause of the red spots.

Is there a lube or anything I can use prior to pumping?

Right now I use water based vani cream, but if there is something else i can use i’m all ears.

What exactly are the red spots?

Broken capillaries; small blood vessels.

Red spots is burst capillaries, pressure pulling blood out to the outside of your skin, like a blood blister but much smaller, if the burst capillaries don’t heal then the iron in the blood turns it to pigment also known as discolouration which takes a week to a month to heal, you can try Arnica cream, I haven’t used it but I would if it happened to me again.

Its nothing to worry about, it will go away in time. How much time depends on you.

Is it possible that you burst the capillaries before pumping but they only became apparent after pumping?

Not using constant heat. Just heat prior to pumping and PE

I think mine even burst from doing manual squeezes.

I take breaks for 24-48 hours and yes they pretty much go away, but come right back back next pump session with just a minute or two.

Do I take a longer break? Or is it safe to continue pumping ?

I wonder if you could be taking a medicine that is contributing to burst capillaries. Regular aspirin usage can do it, large doses of fish oil also.

Thank you as I have not considered this , I take a lot of workout supplements like l-citrulline, aminos and fish oils.

The spots go away in 36-48 hours, but id love to pump daily.

I also wonder about spots, I have pumped for almost 2 years straight now (but have done PE since 2003) and my pump routines are quite good (never a blister or bruise, edema sometimes but I know what causes it and can avoid it), but I get spots quite a bit, sometimes in the first 3 minutes of my warm up set!!?? I take quite a lot of citrulline and arginine before my pumps, man it really makes for a full fat dick! But, it could also force spots. I really wish I could convince myself to pump without the aminos, but I do not want to risk a sub-par pump without them. I also use them and do not get spots and I think if I take them and immediately start pumping I don’t get spots whereas if I wait 30-45 minutes after consuming them, that’s when I might get spots almost instantly. I pump for a while, my sessions are now two 5-minute warm up sets and then four to six 10-minute sets with heat from rice socks, so I pull 50-70+ minutes in the tube. I do not get edema most of the time, if I do it’s a tiny bubble under my glans and goes away in 6-8 hours.

I never considered the citrulline and arginine link to spots!!! This could be why I get them so easily and it seems like I shouldn’t at this point in my “pumping/PE career.” I’m going to try to time my use of aminos with my pump start time and see if that’s it. I’ll report back here soon!

If the supplements you are taking have blood thinning effects, that could be a reason why the red spots occur.


The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

So I did my experiment with timing of when I took my citrulline and arginine yesterday. I did 2.5g powder cit malate, 2g citrulline capsules, and 2g arginine aakg pills. Immediately after I did a 12 minute warm wrap. Started wet jelqs after that for a few minutes and then started pumping. I had literally no spots after 10 minutes, and everything seemed fine. Pumped for 50 minutes in the tube. Slight edema that only lasted about 2 hours or so. My last pump was four days prior, again for 50 minutes. There could be a correlation with timing and when pumping starts. I need to look into the blood thinning effects of citrulline and arginine, I have never heard that these aminos have that side effect but they maybe do, thanks for bringing that up @gprent!

Those are called petechia. They occur when capillaries burst from pressure.

Whether it’s from pumping, jelqing, or whatever else you do to your schmack, you’ve done too much. It’s evidence of vascular injury.

Use less pressure. Not everybody is the same and it looks like 5”Hg is too much for your blood vessels, at least for now.

Both Arginine and Citrulline improve blood flow, but do not necessarily make blood thinner. Both are commonly used as erection aids; speaking from personal experience in using both for about 15 years now, they absolutely do improve erection quality and stiffness! It is beyond noticeable at this point. I also get much fatter cock when I use them versus not during pumping. I need more trials to know for sure, but I don’t think I could ever give up these supplements for pumping because of the benefit of blood flow.

These supplements, mostly arginine, are reported to strengthen veins and capillaries, even if slightly. So does this supplement prevent capillary rupture, or encourage it because the blood flow is increased? Tricky business.

I’m of the mind that spots are not as “bad” as edema, and both are not as bad as bruising or major discoloration. I may be wrong, though.

I always take it 30-45 min before a PE session and I don’t think ive ever had red spots. Maybe once or twice very mildly when I first started clamping, but they went away quickly. I’ve just started pumping, it’s been about 3 weeks now, and still haven’t gotten any red spots.
