Flared or contoured for full package pumping?

I’ve tried LA Pumps cylinder for the first time for full package pumping, did not like it too much because the flared end of the cylinder has somewhat sharp edges. How do you feel which is the best for full package pumping contoured (like Boston Pumps do) or flared cylinder? And by the way, do you happen to know any good flared cylinder manufacturers (since Thickwall shut down).

Or perhaps using standard straight cylinder w comfort ring? I like to have some pubes so I think that option is out of the question anyway.

I think they intend their flared-end tubes to be used in conjunction with their thick silicone base gaskets. They call them ‘cushions’ on their web site.

So are you saying Boston Pump regular flared cylinders are not meant to be used without their cushion? Or do you mean their contoureds are spose to be used w cushion?

Shit. I see. What a bummer. Weird idea to make cylinders only to be used with cushion. Do they even work like extra good? Probably you have to be pubeless to do it nonetheless.

Their site says the cushion is optional. Whether it’s uncomfortable probably depends on how thick your fat pad is.

If you don’t want to shave, some Vaseline where the base of the tube rests can help a little. If you move from a hand pump to a converted aquarium pump you don’t have to worry much about leakage.

Even with a fresh shave, I never seemed to be able to hold a vacuum long with just the hang pump.

I see I see. I’m running about on 13% bodyfat year around. Interesting idea that converted aquarium pump. I might try vaseline some time although cushions never worked for me with my about 1 cm pubes. BioGlide by JoyDivision has been my go to lubricant, easy to wash off and effective (thick enough).
