Bathmate Users -- how do you manage pressure?

I’m going to Home Depot right now, gonna see if they have any water vacuum gauges…Maybe I will get a better idea to do this, if this is in fact possible

I’ve posted this on sta-kool’s Icicle Diary:

Well, I was reading through the Bathmate official website, and I’ve also found this:

Gaiter Composite Material -skin safe rubber

Maximum Vacuum Created (Air) - 5” mercury
Maximum Vacuum Created (Water) -12” mercury

Increase penis length 1 - 3 inches
Increase penis girth up to 30%

Wouldn’t 12” mercury be too much when most of the pumping vets recomend to stay below the 5hg line?

Possible way to attach a water pressure gauge to the bathmate?

invictus, I really don’t know much about this sort of things, and I really appreciate your efforts on trying to figure out a way to manage the pressure on the bathmate… but, wouldn’t that gauge measure the pressure in a wrong way? I mean, how could it possibly measure the pressure inside the tube if there’s no connection to it?

From the picture, I can only imagine the gauge measuring the pressure of the water that comes off the cylinder. Maybe its speed, how fast it comes off, how fast you click on the button on the top of the bathmate, etc. I don’t think that would be a reliable measurement… unfortunatelly!

It would be great if someone who have used that device could chime in and tell us something about it!

Guys, I feel like we are over thinking this. Yes a gauge would be ideal. On the otherhand, I think it could be done safely along these lines:

Lampwick just gave an air - pumping newbie without a gauge some good advice:

I take it that you can see through your cylinder. I would suggest that you pump to the bare minimum needed to get a seal, and then just a little more. VERY little. Keep your early sessions short and your vacuum levels very low. Watch your penis through the cylinder and see if you are getting any expansion, and how your color is. Don’t worry if you do not get expansion immediately.

Combining that with Thebishop's advice in this thread:

Thinking about it, it was pretty easy for me to tell if I overdid it in the air pump. If I exceeded 4HG, I had negative PI’s. They went away quickly though. So I feel like I could follow lampwick's and Thebishop's advice and come up with something that is right for me.

The specs note that the max internal dimension is 200mm = 20cm= ~8” and a max external dimension of 296mm = 30mm =~12”

So, if you’re already hovering around the 8” mark is this still viable? If you are 8+?

Anyone? Anyone?

Honestly, I think it is!

From what I can see on the videos, the guy’s penis is not erect when he enters the cylinder, so, there must be space for some extra expansion!

And if the penis entering it is already 9+?

I’m asking about the internal sizing- does anyone who actually has this have an idea if it tops out at 8”? Or can it accommodate larger cocks?

From what I understand, this Bathmate brings a whole new concept to the subject. You pump your flaccid unit until it expands 20% or 30%. I really don’t know if you reach the same size as when you get an erection. If it works like this, it’s very unlikely that someone with a 9+ flaccid decides to try this.

Hey, I may be wrong! This is just my opinion, and I’ve never had the opportunity to use that device!

Anyone actually know?

androNYC — I’ve exchanged PM’s a while ago with a bathmate user who is 7.5” BPEL and he did not mention the length of the cylinder being a problem or something he worried about. He mostly attributed girth gains to it.

There are several thunders users besides thebishop and the guy I am talking about who have them, a couple of them who I —believe— have reported 8”… but they must be off Thunders and on vacation or something.

I am probably going to take the plunge and order next week or so. The first video g_want7 found assures me that the device is well constructed. If and when I get it, I will report on inner dimensions and how much room there is to grow. (For what it is worth I don’t think I have ever seen my full BPEL in my air-pump — seems like expansion is mostly in girth direction).

I have measured my Bathmate and these are the internal length dimensions. In a static as is state, the internal length is 10 inches. With the pumping seal compressed the internal length is 8.75 inches. So in other words, under pressurized operating conditions, the pump can handle up to a 8.75 inch erect cock. The cylinder does taper off near the end, but even near the end I would estimate the ID to be 1.75” so that could handle a head girth of 5.5 inches. The max ID at the base is 2.25”, so that can handle a base girth of 7 inches.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Sta-kool- so practically speaking anyone up to 8.5” BPEL can use it [allowing for a bit of wiggle room at the head]. I actually get a full BPEL measurement in pump under pressure, so we differ in that respect- and as I’m right around where your buddy is, that was a potential concern. Please- keep up updated on the order process

gprent— how do you like it compared to regular pumping? Any difference in post pump feel versus a proper standard pump set? I’m assuming that the counter-pressure of the water would preclude any subcutaneous fluid build-up— true?

gprent — thanks so much for the detailed answer on the dimensions. Certainly gives me room to grow.

Along with andro’s questions, I know you like to stay in the 3.0 to 5.0 HG range with air pumping. What are your tricks to achieve a similar pressure in the bathmate? Do you go by feel?
