I’ve used my new Hydromax X30 Xtreme a few times so far and I think I’m getting the hang of it. I’ve been using the Hand Ball Pump and hose to pump it. Can just the handball pump connect without the hose? Does the pump also work if I don’t connect the Handball pump/hose? So the pip can be closed when filling up and open when pumping. The valve at the tip of the hydromax can turn a bit, what is the purpose of that? What position should that be in? Is their a video showing how to use this model? Sorry for all the questions, just wanting to get the most out of it.

I don’t think the hand ball connects directly without the hose… I’ve never tried, however.

The older models were pumped by pushing towards the base but my Hydromax bellows seems to be a lot stiffer so pumping it that way is very hard - I’ve always used the handball.

By turning the valve, it stops air/water from re-entering at the top of the unit. I leave mine closed when pumping out and open it to release pressure although I have found the highest pressure can be achieved by leaving it open when pumping. This is VERY high pressure, however, and I think experienced pumpers will say no to those kinds of (high and unknown) pressures.

Thanks for the advice. Since I’m a newbie, should I be keeping the pressure fairly low(estimated how many pumps)? And if I’m feeling too much pressure do I turn that valve cap to release some pressure? I’ve had some pain in the pubic/ab area(not sure if it was from the bathmate or using a cockring because the pain wasn’t immediately afterwards), could be because I was not using the comfort pad or by pumping the bathmate xtreme into my base area too hard when I didn’t have the handpump connected.

Yeah I think it goes without saying you should go into any exercise slowly from the beginning and build up from there. I personally pump for longer at lower pressures… never more than 5 minutes in the pump between jelq and massage breaks. At the end of my set, I often go for maximum pressure slowly building up then leaving it at that pressure for a minute or so before releasing.

I know what you mean with the pain - I personally get some bruising occasionally and I had it more when I began using the bathmate. I keep my penis at the ‘bottom’ of the tube so more of the gator covers my fat pad area - this helps avoid sucking my balls and scrotum along with spermatic cords and veins but it does result in more discomfort over the fat pad area.

If you overdo the pressure, I would release completely then pump again up to a safe level. Much better to slowly add increments of pressure rather than starting out high.

Finally, I think there is a lot of wisdom in pumping from erect and trying to maintain erection as much as possible. After all, if you’re only in the BM for a few minutes between breaks, you can stimulate yourself to erection between the pumps.
