Where to start with hanging

Where to start with hanging

First of all if this is in the wrong section I apologize it wouldn’t let me post in the hangers forum. I am a newbie and have been doing the newbie routine for about a month now. My main goal is length and I don’t think the stretches will cut it. I don’t know where to start there are so many threads on hanging and devices that I am overwhelmed. Should I start out buying a bib starter hanger and following the instructions on this site? I don’t think I’ll be able to build a sufficient one I’d rather just buy one. Are bib hangers the way to go? Any other recommended hangers out there for a complete beginner? All advice is appreciated

I think it would be nice to know, which one is the best hanging device. Anyway, I would wait 3 months of newbie routine before hanging.

Oh boy I don’t know, search for some

Most used commercial devices are the Bib’ and the Vac-hanger (not sure it is still called this way, but see on autoextender.com). Many used a simple muzzle and said it was fine. Other choices would be the AFB hanger, which costs about nothing, and the Captain’s Wench, which you can build by yourself, do a search.

About instructions, the basic line is : hang the most time you can, starting with something in the 2-3 lbs range. Wrapping can be hard to masterize with clamp style hangers - there are instructions around here as well.

The Redi Stretcher is a great place to start as it has a very quick on and off, then get the Bib hanger as you get to much heavier weights etc, don’t recommend the Vacu hanger as you will darken your glans, blister problems etc. Great for ADS but not Hanging.

Ditto: get your dick conditioned with at least 3 months of newbie routine before considering hanging.

Already have 4 months just doing jelqing and stretching, so it’s the same question: how should I begin with hanging and clamping?

Leave clamping for later — I would say that you should have a minimum of 6 months PE experience before clamping (a year is even better). And most people would advise you to not mix hanging and clamping (though a few brave warriors have tried and might disagree with the masses).

To get started in hanging you can either go BIB, vac hanger, or with one of the may DIY options. BIB is probably the best for heavy weight and will last longer than you’ll need it to. Vac hangers (which I have no experience with) are said to be generally more comfortable for many, but are generally considered less suitable for heavy hanging. There are too many DIY options to mention here — do a search and you’ll find plenty of ideas here on Thunders — these will be much cheaper and many work just as well as the commercial options.

You’ll need material for wrapping. Most people seem to use two layers: some sort of cloth layer against the skin and a theraband layer on top.

You’ll need resistance. Most people use some sort of weight (water bottles, weight plates, dumbells, etc..). Some people use bungee cords or exercise resistance bands. I stared with water bottles, moved to weight plates, and have recently switched to resistance bands — the bands are much easier to use and make some hanging angles much easier — I’ll probably never go back to actual weights.

There are plenty of articles that cover all of this. Go here Most Important Hanging Threads and do some reading. Start off light and go easy at first.

This dude is going to injure himself thinking like that.

First of all buddy, JBucs is right, PE is a marathon not a sprint. The numbers they are telling you are rather liberal in terms of how long you should practice doing the newbie routine before you move on. I would say that minimum a year of newbie routine is necessary, not for physical conditioning, but rather for the mental conditioning. Learning about your body and PE and the relationship between the two is far more important than any physical preparation.
