It says in Bib’s wrapping drawings that the hanger should be well away from the head, just how far is well away?

Also why is proper circulation during the hanging such an important concept. The idea behind 20 minute sets is to not be hindering circulation for long enough that tissue isn’t damaged. But if you aren’t hanging for that long why is circulation during the hanging session so important. I realize that it is important, and I wouldn’t mess around with a cold or dark head, but I just wanted some clarification.

I hung for the first time today, it felt pretty comfortable and I was pretty happy. More questions to come I’m sure.

>>just how far is well away?

I attach my hanger a little over an inch back from the head. That way, when I’m hanging, the hanger is still away from the head, but still close enough to get the best overall stretch possible. I don’t know if that answered you question exactly, but it was worth a shot. :)

>>But if you aren’t hanging for that long why is circulation during the hanging session so important?

When I started hanging, I use to get a cold head within 10 minutes. So even lower times need that circulation for some people. I say it’s just a good thing to have regardless of hanging or not, but maybe BIB can chime in with a more scientific answer.

Awesome! Sounds like you’re on the right track.
