Have hangers actually gained?

It is safe if as long as you pay attention.

I gained 1.25” in four months/140 hours hanging no more than six pounds, back in 1996. The AFB hanger I introduced over ten years ago remains the simplest, cheapest, and most universal, inconspicuous, and adjustable design for a hanger.

That said, I no longer recommend hanging, and not just because it’s boring. For a while now, I’ve been interested in what routine leaves your dick (BPFSL) bigger immediately afterward. I found that prolonged stretches—and this, to my surprise, included hanging any amount of weight—did the exact opposite. My thinking may be simplistic, but doesn’t it make sense to do a penis enlargement exercise whose immediate affect is to make your penis larger, not smaller?

I agree that an exercise should leave you looking and feeling longer, however I do not agree that your new, highly promoted but (to my knowledge) yet to be proven 3 step method is the only way to go.

Of course, almost any routine can be over done, but any routine can also be done at just the right level of intensity that will create this same post-workout enlargement. Yes, even the newbie routine. The problem is, guys can push any routine too far and simply disregard that “turtling” is most likely an indication of that.

I believe finding just the right intensity is the key to success with any form of PE.

I got total respect for you but you clearly gained from hanging. I hate to use the muscle building analogy because it’s not a muscle but it applies in this case. If I exercise to absolute failure then I might have the pumped look but in regards to strength I will be as weak as a kitten for a good while after exercising. Now over the next few days my strength will gain past my original amount. I look at hanging the same way in regards to strength.

A little over 20 years ago I dabbled with pumping. After intense sessions my penis would look girthy with prominent veins. I loved the way it looked. However, after months of doing this daily, I never measured any gains.
Hanging is the exact opposite. After a good hanging session my penis looks puny. However, after a month (sometimes a week) I measure gains. I personally have to let the ruler guide me as what is effective.

I am absolutely not going to say that hanging is the only way. However, it does work and with the ability to multitask I am actually learning job skills while my penis is growing. Win win situation.

I know hanging worked for me.

Does it continue after a plateau and a rest?


Began December 2009 at 5 7/8" length and 5" girth.

As of December 5th 2012 7 3/8" BPEL and 6 1/8" base girth.

Going for the magic 8"x6"

1/2 inch in 6 weeks. Total length gain of 1 1/2 inch in a years time.


Serious starting point: Nov. 2, 2009/BPEL 5.75 x 4.75 inches.

Current BPEL 7 1/2 x 5.5 inches.

Goal: BPEL 8 x 6 inches. Hell, if I hit 8, I'm going for 9!

I agree about the intensity, and the “turtling” (which refers to penis retracting), though I don’t use that term. My criterion for evaluating has been “what leaves me longer (BPFSL) after?” Hanging doesn’t; long stretches don’t; the 3-Step Penis Workout always does, and my beginning and end BPFSLs are trending upward, though I’ve only been recording for a few weeks. The intensity is moderated by the relative weakness of your fingers and the brevity of the pulls, so I think it’s difficult to push it too far.

It isn’t the only way to go, obviously, but if it proves effective (awesome feedback so far), will be about the most practical approach possible to PE, without the risks and mess of jelq.

I’ve been promoting it here to try to get feedback from newbies especially, but also because my site’s still invisible on search engines.

Didn’t mean to hijack the thread. Yes, I gained through hanging, which is why “Tom Hubbard” came into being and started his web site almost 17 years ago.

If it works for you, that’s great! Feels good and leaves your hands free, as long as you have privacy, and produces results. But, believe me, had I known in 1996 about the routine I just developed, or jelqing, or “why don’t you just pull it out?”, I would have certainly tried those first.

You have to remember that my site is called Practical Penis Enlargement, and while I developed the very practical AFB Hanger, it’s practical only in context of being able to hang, which requires considerable time, and privacy. Unfortunately, that makes it impractical for most guys, including me at this point.

Regretfully I have tried jelqing, streching, tugging, pulling, bending, pumping, and probably other things. I would never claim that these things won’t work for others. They just didn’t work for me. Now if I had done them more consistently perhaps they would have. However, the idea of trying something for 6 months and showing no results is just depressing. Usually with most of the manual exercises I gave them a good two months before I became discouraged and quit. For me I didn’t start gaining from hanging until I got close to 10 hours a week and around 7.5 to 10 pounds of weight. The big plus for me is I could be very consistent with the force applied and the time.

Most of the manual exercises I couldn’t be as consistent with the amount of force applied. Without some sort of gauge on my penis or arms I couldn’t honestly know if the amount I was pulling was equal from one day to another.
With hanging I could slowly build up the weight. Plus even when I wasn’t gaining I could feel the things that Bib was describing in regards to the ligs.

In regards to the original posters question, yes people do gain from hanging. I’m not one to claim it is the best method but it was the first method to work for me.

I think that’s the first time I’ve seen someone on this forum promote something that seems like it would be on Matters of Size or another site like that. How can you gain 1.25” relatively quickly and then say people shouldn’t do it because they aren’t longer immediately following the workout?

Didn’t work for me, in fact, I haven’t gained anything since I started hanging. I gained almost 1.5 inches from the newbie routine I did and figured I could gain more quicker if I tried hanging. I think I wasted 4 months of time and haven’t gotten any bigger. After I quit hanging I went back to the newbie routine but still no results. I’m not saying it doesn’t work, just didn’t work for me. I guess it’s possible that I’ve reached my max growth and can’t gain any more anyways, but I’ll keep trying. Thinking about trying clamping next. Very inspired by Mr. TNT’s story.

I’ve just started hanging and I’m going to be doing BTC for a while which can make it tough to do very much else, that being said when I get to the point that straight down makes sense I’ll be able to accomplish a lot more while hanging. I find the earlier in the day I can get my hanging done the better too.
