Best way of hanging, some ideas

Pretty sure you mean glans, doctor.

Good idea otherwise. When you say medical tape, what variety are you using?

Before: I'd like to show you something I'm very proud of, but you'll have to move real close.

Ball bearing pulleys are much better because you can easily move around or turn around (in bed, for example) without putting extra stretch on your dick

I am german, mr. Happy. In german I would say ‘Glans’ but I read ‘gland’ so often here I thought it is the correct english word - thank you for taking care. Also, because I am german I don’t know the brand names in the us. I would say thin, a little elastic, about 1 inch wide.

This is a nice idea. It’s similar to using Monkeybar’s silicone glans sheath.

Your post here motivated me to try using plain old medical tape to wrap my glans. I tried it yesterday with only the tape, and I got mixed results. My glans didn’t like having tape stuck to it, and I think removing the tape took off a couple of layers of skin. It was also a little uncomfortable. When the vacuum is applied, the tape changes shape and applies a lot of sheer stress to the glans skin.

Today, I’m trying something a little different. I wrapped the tape directly to the skin just below my glans, but then applied a layer of Kleenex to the glans before wrapping the tape over the glans. This prevents the tape from sticking to the glans, but also defines a boundary beyond which my glans cannot expand. THe idea is that the tape will provide counterpressure once the vacuum is applied.

So far, it seems to be working. I’m up to about 40 minutes with 15#, and I’m feeling great lig fatigue!

I think it’s important for the tape to stick directly to the shaft just below the glans. Once the tape around the glans expands under the vacuum, all the additional pulling force is transmitted through the tape to this area behind the glans. The adhesion of the tape to the neck of the penis is important, I think, in channeling the pulling force into the shaft.

Thanks for sharing the initial idea. I think there is much to be gained by figuring out how to wrap properly with a vacuum hanger.

Modesto, regarding the tape it should be very fine tissue - not the kind one uses for sport/joint injuries. It is also important to wrap very tightly. Finally, I recently discovered that I can wrap much tighter with a semi-hard erection. I then start hanging half or even fully erected which feels great.

Thanks for the pointers, TTT. As it turns out, I went for about 1.5 hours almost straight with 15#. I got some minor discomfort around the spot where the tape ended and my skin began. Other than that, and a couple of small bumps on my glans, there were no problems. The “bumps” weren’t blisters, but rather little swollen areas, which went away quickly.

As for tightness, I don’t know whether tightness is as important as inflexibility. You want the tape or whatever covering you use to resist expansion, so that the vacuum pressure applied to your glans is limited. I agree that technique is important.

This is exciting. I’ll try again tomorrow. Thanks again for the idea.

After reading this, I had an idea. I cut the finger tip off a surgical glove and placed it on the glans. Like a shower cap. Sure kept the glans from filling during a 10 minute hang (I use a bibhanger). try it.

I love the tape idea!!! I have never heard of this. I have heard of using thumb of a rubber dish glove (too small for my glans). I have used Monkeybars constriction sleeve with success. The problem I have with it is that it can tend to be pulled off at weights over 10 pounds. When this happens it can tend to created even more pressure on the glans tip. But with this tape idea, if done right, it will eliminate this slippage problem.

As far as how much can hang with non vac hangers, I have hung up to 30 pounds with my modified Captains Wrench.

Where can I find the medical tape you are suggesting?

THanks

Ya ticktickticker if you could maybe post a picture of the style of tape you are using because I am not sure because I haven’t seen any other medical tape than the stuff I used to use for various sports injuries; first aid tape.

Good that you like that idea modesto. - Try to cover your entire glans with tape using diagonal wrapping over the glans. Then back BEHIND your glans to secure against slipping. Then diagonal in opposite direction and so on. I will also try grower’s idea with the surgical glove fingertip combined with wrapping.

Og6 - I am located in Germany, I don’t know where you get the wrap. Here we find it in the pharmacy or health store.

Joe smith: first aid tape is good - but not the thick elastic stuff but a thinner, less elastic variant. You should find both in a first aid box.

Btw - my glans blister is open now, no sex no pe - what a petty. Pretty addictive stuff (pe, I mean; sex has always been *s*).

Good luck and stay tuned.

This is really interesting. I’m noticing that the tape I wrap around my shaft is puckering in just below my glans. It appears that the action of the vacuum transmitted through the tape is causing the tape to constrict at the perfect gripping location—just below the glans. This is very promising.

For this set, I’ve changed to a smaller glans cap. With my glans taped, it fits into the smaller cap. The combination of the smaller cap with the tape job is actually very comfortable at the moment, and I’m still using 15#.

Modesto - you’re a moderator and probably know a lot more about pe than I do. I read in a thread by penismith that below 18 pounds is considered low weight for collagen (= ligs or tunica) stretching. High weights according to that thread were in the above 60 (yes - sixty) pound range. However, I can’t see how we can reach there - in vacuum hanging I suppose that the upper limit could be at best 20 pounds (I tried once but my wrap caused too much pain - maybe now, with more practice - it could work, - but 60? May be with a bib hanger but again - a large proportion of the weight would pull external (skin) structures and it would hurt like hell.

What do you think / know about max weight in vac hanging?

And - btw - how do you all like my avatar?

ticktickticker,

I know your question was directed at Modesto, but I thought I’d give a little input on this as well. I think with vacuum hanging less weight is needed because pretty much all the weight is being transfered on to the internal structures with minimal to no force being transfered to skin.

Hey joe - sure you’re right but my question is what is ‘technically’ possible in terms of max weight for vac hanging. Of course this question goes to anybody.
