0.4 inch deep grippers for caps wench?
Hey to all in the wonderful world of PE,
I’ve just built a captains wench however I was unable to find the grippers that are recommended. Any way I looked at the alternative supply thread for the wench and saw that pencil erasers are a substitute and they were all I could find so I bought some. Anyway my question is what is the best depth for the grippers? At the moment the erasers I have are 0.4 inch deep and it seems a bit chunky so I was wondering if I should cut them thinner or if it would be fine?
Hopefully some caps wench vets can comment if the depth makes much of a difference to the hanging, the wench feels fine on by the way.
