Extender skin irritation - itchy

I thought I would post this since after searching I couldn’t find any posts that explained a similar experience, so I thought I would share mine.

I started wearing my extender again for ~2-3 weeks now and have developed a slight skin irritation/itching. Nothing serious, but I wanted to see if anyone anyone else has experienced similar issues. It didn’t start happening (again) until recently after using it 5 days a week for ~2 weeks. I say again because this happened my last bout of using the extender for a long time frame. I use a spring loaded extender (X4 labs extender) and the irritation is located on the under part of my shaft where the shaft meets my balls. While wearing the extender it appears that the skin that is irritated is where the spring system meets the rods, which would coincide with where the only ‘sharp’ area of the extender meets my skin.

It has resulted in a noticeable patch of irritated skin ~1cm diameter, I think largely due to it being itchy and then me scratching it to relieve the irritation the next morning.

I’m going to start using alcohol wipes to wipe down the metal of the extender before each use, and use cloth/paper towel as a buffer in that area while wearing it and keep this thread updated until it resolves.
