Girth easier than length?

Girth easier than length?

I guess I do not understand why people would say that it is easier to gain girth than length. It seems that is much more rare to gain more girth than length for people in general. I have yet to see my first gains in girth. I hope me increasing my erection level while jelqing will help. But what is everyones opinions on this.

Starting(November 28th)=BPEL:5.9 inches EG midshaft: 4.375 inches ST Goal: 6.5 X 4.5 LT Goal: 8 X 6 Long ways to go. "You miss all the shots you don't take."

Most people have a harder time gaining girth in fact some people find it almost impossible.

I haven't failed, I've found 10,000 ways that don't work. Thomas Edison (1847-1931)

I was just reading posts from some people saying it is easier to gain girth. I wish it was for me. That is what I want the most.

I gain girth easier than I gain length. Maybe it’s because I concentrate more on girth exercises, since I don’t want much more length than I have now.

Then, BPEL:7.500"x5.500"

Now, BPEL:8.375"X6.750"

It is about equal for me. Luck and the right routine are definite factors.

As Bird says, it’s just pot luck. Genes, physiology and all that crap. I personally find girth easier to gain but it’s the other way round for some.

Looking for that magic 6" of EL...

Progress Report

I’m sorry if this is obvious to everyone, but remember that just because length and circumference are both measured in the same units, doesn’t mean that their growth is equivalent. For a long time, I’ve tried to think of growth in terms of volume, like remek has been advocating.

I’ve attached a spreadsheet that demonstrates the difference in volume as derived from circumference growth vs. length growth. It is good for translating that intuitive feeling for the contribution of girth to the volume formula into concrete numbers. You can plug in your own size data to make it more specific and relevant for you.

As an example, you can see that volume from length growth is linear. If we use 5 inches circumference as a constant girth, you can see that for every 1/8th of an inch you add in length, your volume increases by 1/4 cubic inch.

When we look at circumference, it is a different story. If we use 6 inches as constant length, you can see that if you increase your circumference from 4.25” to 4.375”, you gain 0.515 cubic inches in volume. As you can see, if you believe that volume is the only way to equate growth between the dimensions, at that size it would be twice at hard to gain circumference as length.

But it is even more difficult than that, since volume changes as the square of the radius (which is a linearly related to circumference). If you increase your circumference from 6” to 6.125”, your volume increases by 0.724 cubic inches. Of course, by this logic of equating length and circumference, the more girth you have, the harder both length and girth gains will be to achieve, relative to length gains, alone.

Mostly, it is important to understand that the smallest differences in girth, which may be easily overlooked, can make a big difference in volume. Think about that next time you wonder if your erection quality matters during sex. ;) It should be harder to gain, especially over time.

The interesting thing, is that if you made a rough assumption by looking at total average gains of the entries in Size’s DB, the ratio of girth to length gains floats around 0.48, which is conveniently near our example dimensions. If jelqing is considered our most basic and popular exercise and it results in both length and girth gains, it would make sense that the ratio between the two would be nearly equivalent to the relationship between the two in terms of volume. Not a proof, by any stretch, but evidence, if you happen to be looking for some. :)

I am the opposite. Girth is not a problem for me. Length gains comes really slow for me. I think this is because I found a girth exercise that I can do for mininmal time per week that gets results. Length gains require more time I guess. It’s pretty annoying because I was 6” EG to start with. I really want length rather than girth.

So let me get this right Sliptream. For Every 0.25 of an inch I gain in length, I also gain 0.5 of an inch on my girth then? Correct?

Well I can test this out right now!
I was 6x4.5 and now I am 7.7x5.6 [6” at the base]

I’ve gained 1.7 inches so that would mean that I should of gained over 3 inches in Girth? Well I have not? Why is this? Is there something wrong with the theory?

According to the theory I am now supposed to have a 7.5 THICK dick! - But I have not! Whats the deal here?
Or was this theory a guess?

Also note that Bone pressed I can reach the 8” mark! So that adds to the problem!

No, that was not my point, at all. It seems that many, though not all, members express frustration over girth gains being very slow compared to length. As in: “I gained one inch in length, but barely half an inch in girth.” What I was trying to point out is that for an average girth, one inch of length gained contributes to as much volume as one half inch in circumference. As your girth increases, you gain more volume per inch circumference gained (per the square of the radius), but length contributes a linear amount of volume for a constant girth.

Does that make more sense? In no way was I trying to say that you will gain girth with length or visa versa.

It’s a good thing then that there are so many good girth exercises. Ie; jelqing, clamping, etc.

Both are hard for me!

Started PEing 09/2005 Took a 2 year break. Thinking of restarting.

Girth was easier for me. I havent measured, but mines just look thicker and feels heavier.

Length is easier for me
