I’ve been keeping a log of PE as of the start of this year. Jan I had made no gains and hadn’t awhile before that. But in February I noted at the start of the month I will use positive thinking about my dick growing, so with each exercise envisioning it making a difference and getting bigger. That’s how I said it word for word and I also noted I can already feel it making a difference. Strangely on that month is when I gained 0.25inches. In march and this month I have done a superior routine but not used positive thinking and made no more gains.

I’m definitely inspired to keep using positive thinking now. But I do struggle with it, my attitude is generally very negative and it’s hard to always have to change that all the time. But I’m going to try!

It’s worth the hard work changing your state of mind in more ways than one man :)

My latest length measurement was about 7.25” BPEL (about 7” if I’m standing up) and 4.5” MSEG. I have been using hypnosis, and come to think of it fuck all PE. As of late I have been jelqing and kegelling in the shower for just a few minutes and doing the occasional bed fowfer.

It sounds stupid but I’ve just been saying to myself ‘you are big, you are growing’ over and over, during exercises or any time I have my dick out. I think it probably filters through and after awhile you tend to believe it more. I also kind of tried to send positive energy down there, telling it to grow. This sounds really hipeeish and silly but like you mentioned it can’t do any harm and to be honest I feel more motivated to PE and upbeat.

It’s been on my mind for a while now that we should have a proper empirical study done on the effects of PE. Has such a thing been done with properly monitered subjects? Does anyone here have the resources to carry out such an experiment?

Method:
Randomly select >200 male subjects from the general population to participate in a study on the effectiveness of manual penis enlargement exercises. Have each man measured in a clinical setting, first finding their FL, BPSFL etc. and then after being given something to allow them to get their maximum erection, their NBPEL, BPEL, MSEG, Base EG etc. must be found. After each man is measured he must be shown how to do some simple manual PE exercises and given a routine, each man will be given the thundersplace newbie routine for the first 3 months of the experiment. After 3 months each man will be measured for a second time. They will then each be given a new routine involving some more intense exercises and an increase in stretching and jelqing time. After 3 more months they will be measured once again and given another new routine. This would continue for a period of one year, with the last quarter involving more intense exercises such as clamping and hanging. Each man would of course have to be paid, but I don’t think a lot since they get a larger penis out of this. Some issues would be that you can’t trust 200 men to do the routines consistently and that men who are willing to have their penises clinically measured are probably bigger than average, which shouldn’t be an issue with the main purpose of the experiment but I wouldn’t mind getting a more exact average too.
I would do it myself if I had the funds, but unfortunately I do not, maybe in 10 years. Not sure if I’d want my name on it though. Any suggestions to improve it?

Caboose - do you have before/after pictures? Video, perhaps?

I think stuff like that would really prove PE works to people. These days, everyone has a webcam of sorts. Not hard to measure, shift it around a bit, show the size, then do that again every 6 months or so. Should put the argument to rest REALLY fast. Sadly, no one had this kind of solid proof, and pictures are harder to go by for a bunch of reasons. I’m sure we’ve all noticed days when we’re a bit bigger than normal, and it’s not PE - it’s just better bloodflow, more arousal, or voodoo - but not a gain, because the next time we play with it, we notice it’s back to feeling less full or looking less lengthy.

Could thunder or one of the mods arrange something when we open new registration perhaps? If just a few hundred of the thousands of people that join have access to a decent quality video camera then it could be ALMOST as good as a clinical setting. BTW proving to other people that this works is not really what I want to do this for. I basically want a decent study done for OUR benefit. Mainly for curiosties sake, we could get a better idea of a before and after average. What do you think mods? Let me know if it’s unrealistic I’ll get over it :)

If you really want to make a study of the effects of PE in a scientific way, each man also has to be clinically observed while doing his exercises, not only when being measured. It all looks impossible to me. Organizing a poll among members of Thunder´s Place is perhaps a better idea, but I must admit the results will be far from scientific. But at least they could give an indication.

The experiment would have to be done differently than how PE is normally done. Usually, a person creates their own system that works for them. However, in an experiment you’d have to get everyone to do it the same way. That means we’d have to agree on a standard program that would most likely work for anyone. If we didn’t hit the nail on the bull’s-eye with it, the experiment could show that PE does not even work. But we know better than that! I’m just pointing out potential problems with this type of study!

That is true, I forgot how different peoples routines can be. The newbie routine could be too much too start off with and I’m sure that some people could never handle clamping or hanging after 9 months. Hmmm. What if we made it less of an empirical scientific study and more of an official, but loose study. It’s the same, only people do routines that will work for them. It might require a fair deal of honesty from participants too, anyone that is not being consistant with their routine would have to notify us immediately and be dropped from the experiment. Anyone that has not done even a tiny shred of PE is elligible to be a part of the experiment, I was thinking the age limit should be perhaps higher than 18, maybe 21 to account for any last growth as a result of puberty. I am willing to do most of the work, including taking any questions any participants might have and downloading and confirming videos so they can be deleted from thundersplace. If this goes ahead in any form then I’ll also compile all the data and write a comprehensive thread detailing the results.

Keep the criticism coming because I would really like to do this even if it’s not fully scientific. With videos it will still reliably give us a pre and post PE average of all sorts of different measurements.

On second thoughts, it’s not fair to expect thundersplace to be used to upload hundreds of videos so we would need somewhere to do that too.

Plenty of free file-sharing services on the web, that wouldn’t be the issue. Simple logs of pics and videos, before and after, would be awesome, but if you look at every member who has these, they’re never consistent with variables: lighting, angles, location of ruler or cloth tape used to measure, etc. It’s all too iffy, if you ask me.

So we give a specific set of guidelines for measuring and filming? That’s what I meant when I said I would confirm them, anything that doesn’t adhere to the guidelines can be stricken off the list and the member could be asked to either do it again or not be in the experiment.

For Example:
For BPEL and BPFL
Subject must be standing straight up with hard ruler pressed 1/2” above the penis as far as it will comfortably go into the fat pad. The video camera must be positioned appropriately so that the measurement is clearly showing, any webcam and most video cameras will allow you to set a timer. The penis must be straightened as much as possible if bent or crooked. The film should be more than 5 seconds but less than 10 seconds I’d say.
