I’m interested in increasing the quality of my erections. I wouldn’t mind a little size increase, but I don’t need it. I’m 6.5” long and I don’t know how to measure girth so I’ve never measured it, but I’d say I’m average.

My problem is that I can get very hard for a very short period of time, then my erections are pretty poor. I can’t enter my girlfriend from the side or doggie sometimes because I can’t get hard enough to penetrate.

We have sex about 5 days out of the week. Usually twice per day during the work week and when we’re both off we usually have sex 4-6 times per day like this:
First time I cum fast, in under 5 minutes.
Second time I last 45 minutes to an hour. I basically wait for her to have an orgasm and then I let myself cum.
Third time I cum in 20-30 minutes, basically waiting until she cums first. Her second orgasm always comes faster.
Fourth time I cum in 10-15 minutes.

Four is average and on some occasions we go up to six.

Here is the problem, a lot of that sex I rely on missionary because of my poor erections. My girlfriend loves the sex we have but I really think it would be better and I wouldn’t stress out if I had better erections.

I’m 40 years old and I don’t smoke or drink (occasional beer or glass of wine) and I’m overweight but losing weight (down from 240 to 195 and I’m 5’8” tall). I don’t know if it makes a difference but I have very little experience with sex aside from her because I was stuck in a sexless marriage for close to 20 years. She’s 39 but the opposite. She had about a dozen partners before getting married herself and she was married and having regular sex for 19 years. So far a long time all I had was porn and masturbation and I worry that I ruined myself. I used to suffer from premature ejaculation too but I got over that by taking my time during sex and also masturbating very slowly (lots of edging). I’m sure that my fast and frequent masturbating was to blame for that as well.

My girlfriend loves the fact that I go multiple times and that I last so long because her ex relied on fingers and only lasted 5-10 minutes, but I wish I could get better erections. I see guys in porn with dicks extended straight ahead and wish I could get that hard. I can for a few seconds and then it’s downhill. Thank God we don’t use condoms because I can imagine myself struggling to get hard enough to get one on or keep it on.

I’ve tried taking L-Arginine, maca root another supplement that I forgot the name of but gave me horrible flu like symptoms. The L-Arginine makes me ejaculate a lot more, which my girlfriend loves, but nothing made my erections stronger.

I was going to start the newbie routine but I was wondering what routine or exercises you recommend for someone who wants stronger erections?

Moderate amount of jelq should do the tricks. People also swears for Kegel’s’ effectiveness for harder erections.

Given the amount of sex you are having, it’s not surprising that you aren’t rock hard. It’s a high class problem and, since you and your girlfriend are both happy, there really isn’t any problem. Exercise (cardio, squats) is probably your best bet for better erections.

If you really need more hardness, I found girth exercises were helpful (and stretches actually made it worse). Jelqs (then squeezes and eventually clamping, when you’ve built up to it, may help) and kegels (then towel lifts) can also help or so I’ve been told.

If you really, really want increased hardness, you’ll need to go to Viagra/cialis or caverject. Whenever I see a porn erection that stands up like a flag pole even post-ejaculation, I assume that caverject or a big dose of Viagra is the cause. A small bit of daily cialis may be the best bet given your sex schedule.

I should have clarified, my erections are no harder on our first romp than they are on the second or third. My girlfriend loves cowgirl because she has such intense orgasms from that position, but I always worry about slipping out and not being able to reenter due to lack of hardness.

Cialis, Viagra, etc did come to mind but I thought they were only for men who couldn’t get erections at all. In any case, I prefer a natural solution.

Thanks for suggesting cardio and squats. I knew exercise might help but didn’t know which would benefit me the most. By squats you mean weight lifting or just squatting down and back up? Sorry, I don’t know anything about exercise and Google showed two different things.

I am very happy with our sex life but I get embarrassed when she wants doggie and I can only enter her missionary and I’d like to not worry about slipping out and not being able to reenter, which is a constant concern.

Doing kegels is really the exercise that directly influences your erections. If however the reason is lack of lust rather than anything physical, I’d suggest withholding from sexual activities for a while to reignite the spark more easily.

Cardiio helps your circulation and heavy lifting squats helps stimulate GH. I should caveat this with SUPPOSEDLY because I don’t have time or that much desire to exercise. I definitely went from drought to flood. She has never complained and when I mentioned something about it a couple of weeks ago she said that I’m “amazing in bed” and she wouldn’t change anything, but I can’t help but feel inadequate. Maybe it’s because she’s only my third partner and I’d only had sexy maybe 5 times in the last 15 years before her, so I worry about not measuring up to her previous lovers. I don’t watch porn anymore and I only masturbate with her on Skype when she’s on business trips, otherwise I save it for her (I’m not a kid anymore, so every ejaculation counts and she feels much better than my hand anyway).

Thanks for the tip on legs and blood flow to the dick, I didn’t know that. I’d never heard of reverse keels but will look it up.

I agree with the suggestions of increased cardio exercise and some light PE.

Exercise is critical for vascular health, which in turn is important for your aging heart, penis, and brain. Even if you stay very fit, though, you should expect some decline in your erections with age due simply to declines in your levels of testosterone, particularly as you get into your 50s, 60s, and beyond.
