What size clamp

Doing the newb thing for awhile and was wanting to start clamping. I was wondering if a medium sized one should work or should I go larger?

This is from the Home Depot Canada site, but the US stores carry this item (for about $1.73) in the hardware section. They’re usually in a three column display box with a clear front showing all three sizes available and are often mounted at the end of an aisle.
