I didn’t see a thread like this anywhere else so I decided post it here. Feel free to move it if its in the wrong place. I’ve been doing PE for a long while, with breaks here and there. I am back again, but I have to do it in secret, so I can’t spend a lot of time on it. Now I ask you guys the question.

Would stretches without warming up before you do them bring any sort of result? I’ve been thinking about this a lot. I know warming up and down is crucial to gains, but what if you do stretches without a warm up. Would it be beneficial or just harming. I’m trying it out and will try to report back what I find, but comments on this would be appreciated.

Not exactly crucial to be gaining, but to avoid injuries. We have reports of members gaining without doing any kind of warm up, warm down or constant heat.

If you choose to not heat up, make sure to pay attention to the signs and go easy.

Well I am experienced. So I know what to check for. Thanks for the feedback. Will report back with what I find. I’m a big follower of warming up, but like I said, I can do more work on my PE when there isn’t a need to warm up first. I can easily take 5 min every hour during the day to do some stretches. But that’s not enough time to even properly warm up first.

Well I’ve been doing stretches through the day without warm ups. At this stage its doing more a number on my forearms than it is on my ligs. Still feeling a nice work out on them. Will see how they feel after tonight’s session. If I need a small break (day or two) then I will take it. At the moment my ligs can take it. Not even feeling fatigued. So I keep pressing and will keep monitoring. Not going to measure any time soon, so won’t know if there is a difference in gains till I do.

That’s what I’m currently doing. Trying to find a way just to gain again. So I will be keeping people updated.

Update on the stretches during the day without a warm up. I did my jelqing routine in the shower last night, and my erection looks thinner, which is usually a sign of length gains. I can’t be sure, as I am not measuring any time soon, and the light in the shower is poor. But its enough of a motivation to keep doing what I’m doing.

I am actually involved in a corresponding discussion on the topic in the French forum.

Graal has found a source which proves quite reliably that stretching without pre-heating gives better elasticity to ligament tissue and needs less force for the stretch.
I still am reluctant because in a sort it’s against all my own recommendations in the past too.

But it is a serious medical paper by a MD specialized in top-notch athlete activity. It looks very credible to me.
The paper itself dates from the early Ninenties, so I had my doubts that it would be outdated.
But some first Google searches indicate recent studies that heat prevents injuries but make stretching less effective are available.

I think it’s a game of balance between heating to prevent injuries and remaining cold to have more efficiency

Am still working on the subject.

This is very interesting. Because the first thing I did notice is that it took a lot less force without a warm up to get the same sensation as when you do do a warm up. When I warm up first, I had to yank at it with a lot of force to feel that I’m stretching the ligs, but without the warm up I use about half the force to feel the same pull sensation. I will keep you guys updated about everything as time goes by though.

PS: If I disappear for a few day, it just means my internet is down. (Third world problems)

How To Treat This

Wanted to know your thoughts on this then pumping about 6 weeks got a little excited Punk too hard too long now I have swelling and blistering will post picture if needed. What to do and how to treat it.
