Question about urinary issues

Question about urinary issues

I’m just curious, has PE caused any changes to the way any of you piss? It seems like since you are stretching the same muscles used to pinch off your piss, you could damage it, making it more difficult to pinch? Just a thought. Maybe that’s why people do kegels? I am a newbie and am trying to figure this whole PE thing out.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think we’re actually pulling our pelvic floor muscles.

Approaching the question from a different angle; I suffer(ed) from an overactive pelvic floor. I explained the physical therapist that I PE and she saw no issues with it.

And for that matter, the penis itself isn’t used at all. The smooth muscle works through pressure being applied by urine being released. The release of of urine is a combining factor of volume (Sufficient urine needs to be present), relaxing the pelvic floor and slight pressure of the bladder.

Dom, what is your PT having you do for the pelvic floor?

Kegels and breathing exercises mainly.

She recommends some sort of active relaxation like meditation, but I haven’t been able to start that.

I’d say I have to wait longer whilst standing to take a piss for it to come out. It’s weird, sometimes if someones around I find it hard to go unless I’m bursting too. Not sure if it’s due to PE or not.

Edit: After reading what Dom has said I’d say my situation stems from years of waiting to go to the toilet until I was desperate. (Never liked going to public restrooms in school etc) Now when I do have that urge it sometimes takes a little longer to come.

Both are normal behaviour.

Whether you stand or sit is personal; it’s personal to the degree that your bladder is angled in comparison to your penis. Standing or sitting changes the angle and thus the ease at which you urinate other physiological factors are how full your bladder is, how much you’ve eaten, bowel movement and your general build.

The urge and how/when it comes depend on several factors. If you kegel long enough (Or squeeze shut the pelvic floor) your brain receives a signal indicating that you can’t urinate at this point and the urge subsides. At the same time, relaxing your pelvic floor and putting light pressure on the bladder will indicate for your body to release.

By no means am I a professional, but having difficulty getting your flow going could stem from mental issues (Anxiety, etc) or physical aspects; leaning, sitting or bending when your bladder is full could shut off or put more pressure on the smooth muscle. Making it slightly harder to get the stream going. On the other hand, not enough urine in your bladder has the opposite result; not enough pressure to get the flow going.

I took 1600 mgs of cordyceps mushroom last night before bed and was rock hard from about 3.00am onward, and this morning my pelvic floor was sore from the constant tension in all the muscles.

I used to take cordyceps regularly for about two years and noticed better erection quality and general physical endurance as a result, but the most I ever took was 1200 mgs spaced out over the day.

I’m actually still a bit sore.
