It’s a pain holding it because you are just starting, but over time it gets easier and you can work your way up. I am holding kegels for 20 seconds now and with fantastic, fantastic results! My way of doing it is switching 1 day hold routine, 1 day a couple hundred of reps throughout the day, 1 day off… then 1 day hold, 1 day lot of reps, 1 day lot of reps and 1 day off. Mixing techniques will probably give you the best of both worlds, there’s no reason IMO to stick to just one kegel style, as long as you use the muscles :D
BTW… I try to do the high reps routine if I know I’m gonna have sex the same day and only during the morning. Holding the kegels is kind of consuming if you need to use it later for a couple of hours.
