I just cannot do a good Kegel

I’m having an extremely hard time doing a hard Kegel. When I’m going to ejaculate, I barely feel the contractions at all and it’s a very weak dribble which I think is due to a weak BC muscle. I also have very floppy erections unless I Kegel repeatedly, which isn’t really good for masturbation (much better to keep it relaxed). My issue is that I cannot hold a Kegel for more than three seconds without one or any of the following things happening:

1) I stop breathing
2) My stomach muscles clench painfully
3) My toes curl
4) My anus squeezes really tight (normal?)

Basically, these problems are what cause me to unclench, not the BC muscle itself. How can I overcome these problems?

Despite it’s annoying interference with masturbation in your case, try giving the pleasure part a backseat and practice kegels WITH an erection for a while. You may not enjoy it as much, but I’m betting that the process of kegeling with an erection will make it alot easier to focus on and target specific muscles.

I find that it’s an entirely different feel when kegeling with an erection, much more focus on the penis v/s the anal part of the exercise. In an odd way, I think it can be used to train oneself to focus the squeeze on different areas while flaccid afterwhile.

I’m kinda surprised that you don’t kegel much during masturbation, I figured that one was a natural, a human universal, so to speak. Learn something everyday!

I don’t think you are doing kegels correctly. While taking a piss, stop the flow in mid-stream. That muscle you just used is your BC muscle. It didn’t involve your breathing, your stomach, your toes or your ass, did it?

So when you do a kegel, learn how to just contract the BC and not everything else. Then you are doing kegels correctly.

I can do it just fine when I’m pissing. I used to be able to do it just fine before. I can do one second Kegels just fine with no problems, but once I go longer, it tenses my whole body up. I can go a very long time with short Kegels but it never really effects me.

EDIT: Just tried the urination thing to find the muscle but without urinating, it’s still proving to be rather difficult to do. I suppose I’ll just need to practice more, but it’s really frustrating.

If your anus is clenching, then you’re not kegeling.

You say you’re able to kegel when urinating, which is good. Some people find it difficult to isolate the BC muscle when not urinating.

Try this - Get an erection, then attempt a kegel. You dick should move, as you flex the BC muscle. You anus should NOT contract, your stomach muscles definatly shouldnt, and your toes shouldnt be curling…You dont need to stop breathing either!

It does take some a while to get it correct, but once you do, you’ll wonder how you ever struggled. Trial and error helps here.

I too can kegel when urinating fine, but my issues is that you are saying the your anus should not contract. I’ve found for me that when I’m sitting that if I try to kegel that my anus does contract a good bit, but if I stand and preform a kegel then my anus still contacts yet it does so only lightly. Also to the point that I can’t feel it at all. Now am doing this wrong, I understand that the sitting part is probably wrong so I always do mine standing, and I usually pull on my flaccid penis so I visually see that the kegels are working right by the tug back.

You’re not alone. I also only can find it when urinating. I try and do kegels after jelqing, and I have the same problem as you. I’m guessing it just takes practice.

Well I’m finding it slightly easier to perform a correct kegel as the days go by, so maybe it just that my BC was so weak to begin with. I guess it does just take practice. Thanks Training Days, it’s nice to know that you’re not the only one having a problem doing something right.
