Sometimes I find when doing jelqs that as the blood gets flowing I get fully erect and stays hard.

As some people say it’s better to jelq semi erect, I’m wondering how they vary their technique when becoming fully erect.

I have this query also. However, I don’t think there is a way to alter the technique, I think it is more of a mental thing.

I usually do my routine in this order:

1.Get a full hard on do a few erect kegels until I feel a stretch

2.Wait for the erection to start to go down

3.At this point (about 80% erect) I do my girth jelqs using a Jelq device, I recently started kegelling before each stroke which seemed to improve the results. I usually eat spicy food and watch porn to maintain this level of erection. If my penis gets erect from jelqing I will stop and wait for it to go down again making sure to heat it with my heat pad..

4.After this, I rest my arms and warm up for 10 minutes

5.I start my length jelq routine with a completely flaccid penis, with the jelq device I hold the end of each stroke for 5 seconds in a stretched position.

I find that the penis gets a bit fatigued after the girth jelqs so I rarely get erect during the length jelqs which makes the stretch more effective.

6.After my jelqing, I continue to warm up with my far infra red heat pad, usually for a minimum of 45 minutes.

7.The FIR heat improves circulation so much that I get the hardest erections possible, I usually do edging and erect kegels for at least 10 minutes, I find this part of my routine to be very important, if I fall asleep during step 6 and don’t do step 7, the improvement isn’t as impressive the following day.

The problem is lots of guys don’t have the time to wait for this; rather than having a rigid routine, have to adlib and make do the varying amounts of time available.

So the question was mainly directed at how to adjust your technique to accommodate for the state of the penis, and not the other way around/

I think this is a technique and takes time to learn.

Over the months and now years I have learned of my different erection levels and just how to maintain them. I normally get erect 100%, let is subside somewhat and then jelq at that level and seem to be able to “trap blood” and maintain that level now, rather than getting fully erect again.

I think it maybe is a mental thing. At first I just like other guys associated touching my penis with sexual excitement, but now over the years I can differentiate to some degree between sexual contact and jelqing.

For sure now and again I go fully erect and can tell by the feel of the penis. My test is generally this, if I can jelq towards the floor (45 degreees) with some slight flaccid feel I’m not 100% erect.

Like Ruz_ says, after a while you will become less stimulated by PE and won’t stay hard for as long as when you started PE.

So to answer your question, if you don’t want to waste any time, do erect kegels - squeezing extra blood into the penis whilst holding the base is a less intense, manual version of clamping, after a while your PC muscle gets tired and your erection subsides. I like doing this exercise, you can feel a nice all over stretch after a few minutes, breathing out and squeezing your buttocks seems to add some extra blood pressure inside the penis during each kegel.
As soon as you start loosing the erection, start jelqing. If your penis is too fatigued to stay hard, low erection jelqs will work better for length gains.

This is a learned technique. Generally, it’s going to take some time to get used to the idea and mechanics of stroking yourself without bringing yourself to full excitement. It’s something that definitely takes time and practice to get down right. It can be especially difficult if you abstain from masturbation and are as eager as ever to play with yourself.

Follow the recommended advice: Get completely hard and then let it subside.

If you’re having trouble with the subsiding part then you can try reading the back of the toothpaste bottle, deodorant, Tylenol, anything you have in front of you to help take your mind off of it. You have to try and not focus on the erection itself but more so on the exercises that you’re doing. So if you’re jelqing and you start to get too hard, take your mind off of it and just wonder around in your own thoughts like what you plan on doing when you’re finished jelqing. This should give you enough time to let it subside to a reasonable and manageable level.

Eventually, you will sort of automatically go into a sort of “exercise” mode, where your body realizes it’s not play time and will start to cooperate.

Thanks for the input. Some food for thought, especially about discipline to separate the ‘pleasure seeking’ vs ‘effective’ techniques.

As your hardness increases you will find that there will be some contraction of the scrotum, if you begin to stretch out the scrotum you will soften the erection back to a point where you can begin productive jelq activities.
