First session today. Is this how jelqing is supposed to feel

Hi all!

I joined this site a long time ago but never really took PE seriously. However, I recently have garnered the motivation to achieve a bigger member, and I plan to work at it for as long as it takes. I read many of the newbie threads/tutorials and had my first session of the Newbie routine today.

While jelqing, I felt a “warmth” traveling into my glans at the end of each stroke. I assume this is blood. Does this mean I’m doing it right? My biggest problem is maintaining the 40-60% erection during the session. I try to semi-masturbate to increase the erection but then I overshoot and have to wait for it to come down. The whole process is very stop-go. As such, it took me an hour just to do the Newbie routine today. Is this something that will get better with time?

I appreciate any advice and am real excited to start this PE journey w/ you all. I know I can’t expect to see gains in weeks or even months but I also know that I absolutely will not quit on this.

Can’t say I feel warmth, but I do indeed feel something traveling up. (Mind you, I use the rice sock a lot)

And personally, I don’t try to maintain a certain erection level. Rather, I make sure it doesn’t go beyond a certain level.

Welcome! I’m also new. :) What I do is jelq until I hit about 80% at that point I will usually back off until I’m at about 30-50% and start back. It usually only takes a few seconds to go down some. Also when I jelq I mainly look for a slight inflated look in my glans, never really pay attention to any warm feelings.

When jelqing up to 80% some have to ejaculate before they can keep it from being to hard. The head of my dick is extremely warm while I jelq so I guess as a beginner it should be getting warmer as you are putting energy into it. So if you can’t control the hard on then just masturbate it to ejaculation and then jelq. That may speed things up a bit. And I think as you get further into PE, say a month or two, you will find what works the best and your dick will respond more to your wishes as you learn to tame it. haha Wild thing that our dicks are by nature!

Well here’s the thing- my jelqing itself doesn’t increase my erection level. Like I’ll be at 10% and then masturbate my way up to 90%, let it simmer down to 70% and I get a few good jelqs in. But after 2-3 I’m back down to 10%! It’s just annoying because it really delays the session.

Use a lube and one hand reps. Lube both hands and dick. With the free hand you can use it and visualizations of having sex or some hot scene to stimulate your dick and mind. The mind is the biggest part. Focus and mind control. After 25 to 100 I switch hands and the free hand is used for foreplay/stimulation. I’ve learned to produce good EQ as it was shit like yours when I started. Don’t squeeze as hard when you jelq so that it is slightly stimulating. Soon it will work right to the core and you will be surprised what it feels like. You may find your dick tingles afterward or itches inside the core. It is a new feeling. Good luck. I did 2,500 jelqs today and my dick is buzzing. Whatever I must do to gain. I may someday break my record of 3,000. We will see. There are alot of advocates for both higher lever erection jelqing and low level flaccid jelqing, so I tend to like to let my dick fluctuate throughout both throughout the session. I start at a completely flaccid and if starts to get fuller so be it. This allows for a whole range of jelqing levels.

I also had the problem with no being able to go more than 10 jelqs without having to stop, over time you will get used to it and it will be easier to stay more flaccid. I think what helped we what not associating jelqing with ejaculation and or masturbation. I try to never masturbate in the same time frame as my session, this helped my mind separate the two.

I would tend to disagree but I know we are all different. I edge through hundreds of jelqing reps and even thousands. It hasn’t hurt my gains. My cock keeps feeling bigger in my hands.

Well a jelq is better than none. I kind of prefer the edging and 90% jelqs, but than I always switch to horses and slow squash jelqs. Overall, I think of it as a manual girth session. The next step for sure will be pumping, clamping or both, just like I went from manual length to hanging and extender. I can’t wait for that monster girth!

Devotion9 - Please don’t hurt your cock doing horses and squashes! I’ve tried them and do some but I am extremely careful. I haven’t had an injury and I hate seeing guys hurt themselves. Not all dicks can take those horse and squash stretches. Especially in the new member category. You need to condition your dick for them as far as I can tell. I wouldn’t have done them at all back in March.
