Is jelqing really supposed to be exciting

Hi guys,

It’s my first post and I just started the newbie routine two days ago. I really feel that I’m doing things wrong. Is jelqing really supposed to be exciting? I pass more time masturbating to try to get a bit excited then to actually jelq. I do about 10 jelqs and then I lose my semi erection and then have to masturbate again and it goes on. 10 minutes of jelqing end up being 25 minutes because of the time I spend trying to have a 60-80% erection. Does anyone know what I’m talking about? Is it normal or am I just doing things wrong?

Btw I’m 22 my beginner stats are BPEL: 6,75in, EG: 5in. I would like to get to 7x5,5 NBP. Since I’m a bit fat I don’t know if it actually matters but my BP and NBP length are really different. I’m only 6in NBPEL. That’s why I actually don’t really consider myself as a 6,75x5. Girls only see the 6x5.

Does my goal look realistic? If yes how long could it take me to get the results wanted? Since my main goal is stricly the natural look which means NBP would it be faster if I work on losing some fat either or it wouldn’t change anything?

I know it’s a lot of informations but it’s my first thread and I thank you in advance.

In terms of inches/time, weight loss is most likely a lot better, however it of course has a fairly low limit. A fat pad of .75” isn’t that bad, really. If you’re working for length, it’s not a problem jelqing at lower erection levels. Try kegeling blood in between strokes too - that works well for me when I feel a little too flaccid.

Dude, jelqing is meant to be done flaccid. A little blood won’t hurt, but you shouldn’t have to arouse yourself.

As far as your goals, they are reasonable if you take this work seriously.

I’ve read everywhere that jelqing on a flaccid penis won’t do anything for the girth that’s why I’m trying to get about 80% erection just like it was written in many articles.

As for the fat pad, is it by losing my bodyfat in general that it will decrease or is there any specific exercises to do for that area?

There’s no way to spot reduce body fat, you have to trigger the body to start burning fat - your body will choose where it wants to take it from.

It can take a long time to get your jelqing technique correct. Don’t worry about it if your penis is flaccid. In the early days of PE, you are better off with a low erection level. To maintain an erection, there’s always stimulation via porn/ whatever.

60-80% erection level is very very high. I don’t PE at that level even after all my time here.:)

Bro, listen to me: don’t jelq your dick erect. It will break and you will become depressed and destitute.

It really depends on what you’re going for…length or girth. For length don’t jelq over 50% erection. For girth you can go up to 80%. I’ve been jelqing at around 80% for over a year and I’ve gained .5 EG. I did get a minor injury once but that was probably because I was closer to 90% during the session. As for maintaining your semi-erection I advise having some porn playing while you jelq. Get to your desired erection level and then stop watching the porn and jelq. Once you fall to around 50-60% erection level, start watching the porn again for about 10 seconds so you can get back up to 80%. Don’t watch the porn for too long because you don’t want to jelq at or near a full erection. Hope this helps.

Newbies should be careful though, 60% or so probably good enough for first few months.

My strategy is do jelqing sets.

Hit the right erection level
50 jelqs
Stimulate to the right erection level
50 jelqs
Rinse and repeat.

(only thing is I need to get back into actively PE)

:up: I like the 60% as a central marker. You can go up to 15% above or below it, and still get a worthwhile jelq done, but those are the maximum and minimum useful levels for most guys. So aiming to stay at 60%, you don’t have to worry if you go above or below by a fair margin. Trying to stay at an exact erection level for jelqing is an exercise in frustration.


Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. And the ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth.

Thanks guys, I will start by concentrating on length gains and then on girth. I will start a log in the proper section just to keep me motivated and I took some pictures so I could do the before and after comparison when I see some gains.

It seems like I can’t post a log yet in the right section so I’ll do it when I will be allowed to. I had another question for you guys. As a pure beginner should I wonder about the LOT theory for now or should I wait to see results from the newbie routine first?

I’m not sure what all of the talk is about jelqing not erect or only very little. As a newbie, I always was erect significantly when jelqing but I took it easy of course to avoid injury. I think not overdoing it when erect is the key. Something else that will help your erections is kegels. I’m usually pretty lazy when it comes to those especially since I’m working on length right now rather than girth. The one time I was consistent with kegels, I noticed that erections not only came more easily but they also lasted longer. Try throwing in some kegels to see what happens.

Something else, jelqing when erect will force blood into your penis improving circulation. Try both of these. Again, don’t jelq with too high an erection or overdo it.

My advice is to ignore the LOT theory.

If you want to start a thread in ‘Progress Reports/Personal Routines’, start it in Newbie and ask a Moderator to move it for you.
