Dry jelqs, do they work?

Dry jelqs, do they work?

Hi all,

I’m uncircumcised and I have been doing dry jelqs with my new routine for 2-3 weeks now. I’m only measuring girth gains, and I haven’t gained any girth yet. This is oke, since it’s only been 2-3 weeks, so I’ll wait for 1-2 more months to see if it works or not.

Now I was wondering.. If I understand the wet jelq correctly it goes as follows:
You first put the left hand (or right) at the base and go up until you’re almost at the glans. You keep your left hand there and you start to grip your base with your other hand (right hand in this case) and perform the same motion as you did with your left hand. From a very simple point of view it seems to me that the blood therefore remains trapped in the penis, as it cannot get out. Correct? There is no moment of release of both hands to let the blood escape.

Now I do dry jelqs. The dry jelq I do as follows: I just start with my left (or right) hand at the base and go almost to the glans. Then I quickly release and reapply pressure at the base with the same hand. This is needed to let the skin go back into position so I can start again. Result: there is a moment of release of blood, and basically every jelq is a “new beginning” of trapping blood. While with the wet jelq, it would seem that the blood is (at least partly) constantly trapped there and getting “recharged” with new wet jelqs.

So.. I was wondering.. Do dry jelqs actually work? Are they inferior to wet jelqs? It seems to me that constantly trapping the blood is better than having it released with every jelq? Therefore wet jelqing is maybe superior to dry jelqing?

Thanks!

Jopie

What should retain blood in the penis is the venous occlusive function, not the hand; people generally keep one hand at the base to avoid skin sliding (what, instead, you want when dry jelqing) or when ramping up intensity, doing basically clamped jelqs (which you can do when dry jelqing too).

Dry jelqs push actually more blood in the penis then wet jelqs, that’s why are more intense. On the other hand, the range of motion of the force is shorter, so some of the penis length will be less stretched lenghtwise. For these reasons many believe that dry jelqs are better for girth, wet jelqs for length. I like dry jelqs way more.

All of my gains, I repeat, all of my gains were from dry jelqing.

Nice gains, less time, more injury dangers though.

Yes, dry one’s work pretty well, it depends on the quality of gadget

What gadget?

You must loose the pressure, when close to the glans, to get back at the base … but not loose the grip (hand) “contact” with the skin. Skin will follow your hands, up and down, until the end of the session. Did few months of dry jelqing a while ago and they are tricky. It takes time and practice to do them correctly. If you get too erect, it gets trickier and more dangerous. Currently doing wet jelqs and notice how easy they are, compared to dry ones.

Dry ones are the worst.

I injured myself trying to learn to do them right.

After learning though..what an exercise!

And less time needed.

Dry jelqs are great.

So I’m cut, and find that dry jelqs get me a better workout and pump then a wet jelq, personal preference? From what I understand, The point of the jelq is to overflow blood and make micro-tears in the tissue so it regrows. Like lifting. It is just about knowing when to stop. So is it wrong for my head, or glans, to balloon up with blood and feel heavy after a workout? Or are you not trying to balloon the glans as much as your shaft? That is the only part I’m confused about

As long you don’t feel discomfort or don’t have blood spot on the glans it should be ok, huskies.

None of that yet.. I build pressure as I move from the base to the glans, and at
The end of each jelq my head is ballooned quite nicely with little bumps. I am
Not worried about these bumps because they immediately go away as blood flow returns to normal and the pressure is released. I think they are a good gauge
Of how hard to go, and the amount of pressure used. Does anyone else see these bumps and use them as a type of gauge?

On a different note, I am thinking of posting my progress report as soon as I see a small gain.

How many sessions a week did you do and how long were they? Does that time include what it took to apply heat mid session (if you did that)?

I followed my own routine. Something very similar to newbie routine, but I was cutting jelqs in half cause I was doing them dry.Newbie or modified to your needs newbie is an excellent routine. I also had 3 injuries, by rookie stupidity. I was doing one week, 4 sessions, one week 3 sessions. No session took me more than 25-30 minutes total, including warm up and warm down..

Back then I was only applying heat when starting and when finishing.
