Describe your stretching routine

I’m interested in hearing what your stretching routines are like.

Do most of you just do the 5-way stretches, or do you do V and A type stretches? Do you pull lightly, medium, or hard? How long do you hold a stretch?

I’ve only been doing my PE for a month now and I’ve only been doing sets of 5-ways. Haven’t gained yet.

Another question: what do you think are the most important angles to stretch? I don’t seem to feel a good stretch when I go left and right.

My main stretch is Blue Whale’s Mandingo stretch which is a bundled fulcrum and should not be considered by newbies. I do 6-10 reps in the morning and 4-8 at night with each stretch being held for at least a minute (I basically stretch until my grip gives so I don’t have specific times). Every now and then I’ll do a standard straight down stretch, A-stretches and the occasional Under The Leg stretch (a variation on BTC).

Ebon00…any gains from just doing stretching?

I do 3 sets of 30 seconds SO, l, r, and down, then 3 sets of 30 seconds of V and a-stretch…I do 3 sets of a direction before I move on to the next direction or stretch.

My routine isn’t all stretching, the OP asked about stretching routines so that’s what I detailed. I also clamp and do the odd jelqing session when I have the time (I stealth PE).

So far I have regained up to my previous best but I haven’t measured in a while now. I should also say that I’ve never been a big stretcher, this is really the first time I’ve had a consistent routine so I may have some newbie-type gains because of that. We’ll see.

Just started..

I’m doing directional stretches, and wet jelq.

Keeping sessions for a minimum duration of 10 minutes.

I don’t count the jelqs because I’m sure I won’t exceed or over-train in 10 mins.


Starting size: 5.1'' x 4'' (2010-2-10)

Current size: 5.1'' x 4'' (2010-2-12)

Wanted size: 7'' x 5'' (?-?-?)
