Deconditioning Break

After a very long period of time with no gains, I’ve realized that I should probably go on a deconditioning break but I’m not sure how long to go for. I was doing manual stretches and jelqs for 5on/2off for 3 months, then stopped for about 2 weeks and am only now realizing I should probably break. Anyone have any suggestions or advice as to how long the break should be for?

I don’t think you need to go on a break. Switch up your routine.

Sorry, I should’ve mentioned I’ve been PEing for about 2 years now.

Yes. A little over half an inch the first year.

Then based on my experience, I would take a decon of 3 months. I was basically in the exact same shoes as you when I gained around half an inch and the last year or so did not gain fuck all length.

I just came off of a 3 month length decon and in my first week I am seeing around a .1 gain in EL and .2 in SL. Although my recent gains could be attributed to a new technique I’ve also used in my stretching which involves cooling down and stretching a cold unit towards the end of my sessions, I will report more on this as I learn and progress further.

But back to point, I do recommend a decon break of atleast 3 months. And just to add, I lost no length in my decon at all, which probably was a result of stretching for such a long time that cemented my gains. Good luck my friend

Oh ok, then yeah, try out the break. I took about 3-4 weeks off one time and really didn’t do much for me. So maybe the 3 months mark that someone above recommended would be the way to go. If there’s one thing about PE its that there are no for sures. Just try it out and see if it works. When you get back, slowly get back into it, but work up to more intensity.

3 months really sucks but it sounds like it might be for the best.

3 months might be overkill.

What for exercises are/were you doing? I think the amount of time you should take off for deconditioning depends a lot on the intensity of your exercising. If you were doing total manual (hand stretching and jelqing) you probably wouldn’t NEED 3 months. Perhaps only 1-2 months, max. Now, if you were hanging, clamping, pumping, or some other more intense exercises where a much greater force was being placed on your unit, then maybe a longer break is necessary.

Also, in the future, think about this: Take a smaller break BEFORE you plateau to maybe avoid the plateau all together ;)

Again, what do you base your opinion on? Is it personal experience or from reading someone else’s experience.

The reason I recommended 3 months is based on my experience as I had tried a month and a half decon before, and didn’t get any benefits. While my 3 month has already yielded results within the first week. Do not under-estimate the penis’s tendency to get tough, and just like other parts of the body, the penis will get tough when over worked, specially being stretched right out for almost 2 years.

He has nothing to lose by taking a 3 month break. Worst case scenario he loses .1 - .25 of his length (which I highly doubt, since he has been stretching for 2 years), and if this happens, he will quickly regain it once he starts again. Better to be safe then to restart too early and waste more time.
