2 Days On, 1 Day Off

Hey,

I noticed the “newbie” routine recommends “Schedule:2 days ON / 1 day REST.” My natural instinct suspects that every other day (or less) would be best; I think of weightlifting and how, at least for the other “muscles,” it is best not to work any muscle two days in a row. Is the penis/bc muscle/whatever different? Should I just be a good noobie and follow the prescribed routine?

It is not a bad idea to do one day on one day off, or two days off.

I’ve been doing two days on, one off, three days on, one off. Monday and Friday morning are busy and early for me, so I use those as my rest days. I’m doing the newbie routine, been at it for 2 weeks now. Am I over working? I’m also taking Pro-Solution and Vimax. I figured it can’t help, but I know pills alone will not do the job, must PE

Hepeing, I think the way you do 2 on, 1 off, then 3 on, and 1 off, is fine. Read about PIs. Physiological Indicators.

I feel that they 2 days on 1 day off is too much for me. I even feel that the full routine is too much, so I do about half of the reps except for kegels. Right now I do one day on, one day off.

I did injure myself though, and couldn’t get a good erection for about two months. Just a few light sessions of PE has me EQ up so much I hit 6” with easy last night NBPEL. Not going to count that as official until I can confirm that length a few more times, but it has me happy.

One simple point, the penis isn’t a muscle! While weightlifting can give us some focus i.e. determination etc, since the penis isn’t a muscle it isn’t accurate to draw any anatomical conclusions between PE and weightlifting in this regard.

Indeed, you could counter argue as far as stretching is concerned, since you are dealing with ligaments (to some degree) that applying continual force is the best way to achieve deformation i.e. 7 day a week stretching, ADS, etc.

I believe resting is best advised as regards jelqing, since that loads internal pressure and possibly/probably creates internal damage, micro tears in “sponge like tissue” etc which ultimately you want to repair.

I usually go Mon, Wed, Fri and take the the weekend off. Using this routine I’ve had pretty good results

That, and that I now ain’t in a hurry at all (like I was before, resulting in overtraining and eventually got tired of PE) have made me start with a 1on/1off routine.

But as I understood it smooth muscle is non-striated and involuntary to control. It is more regulated by hormonial release and more concerned with, for example, the flow of blood vessels and the ability to expel urine. In that respect the most smooth muscle is capabale of is “baseline tone”.

I’m just suggesting really it is like comparing chalk and cheese and really not of benefit for a newbie to consider the penis is a “muscle” as defined by weightlifting.

The article you detail yourself even suggests this…

The penis as a vascular organ. The importance of corporal smooth muscle tone in the control of erection.

The key word there for me is “control” not “size”. Meaning a guy 9 inches long can have a lack of control equally as a guy 5 inches can.

And in respect of tradional weightlifting, the general view I believed was 48 hours AT LEAST between exercising the same muscle group. So really under that logic the focus should be 2 OFF, 1 ON?

Rylegeyum, I would do whatever allows you to feel worked, but not overworked. The newbie routine is too much for me too. I go every other day, and sometimes I take two off to allow it to recharge. Each person’s unit is different. It is much better to err on the side of caution, as long as you can be patient with your gains.

There is no ‘right thing to do’, there are only guidelines, everyone is different and different things work differently for different people.

You should do whatever feels best for you :)

I think 2 day on 1 day off it’s the best, but each one knows what is better for your penis.

Having not even started with the newbie routine yet, my opinion may not be worth much.. However I plan to start with 1 day on, 1 day off. For some reason that’s just what my gut’s telling me. If I can handle that without any problems/injuries, I then plan to try 2 on/1 off. I’ll of course be posting regularly both for my own records and hopefully to help others. Cheers
