Jelqing injury, new member so I can't post elsewhere

Hey guys, a little nervous here, but I’m on day 3 of the newbie routine and getting large purple spots. I try to make the jelqing count, but quite obviously I overdid it. I attached a (flaccid) picture for reference. Should I stop until they heal, or can I keep going with lower intensity. And can I still do kegels / stretches?

To my knowledge I have no other symptoms.


Starting stats (5/9/18): NBPEL: 5.5" MSEG: 4.5" (with cock ring)

Short Term Goal: NBPEL: 6.3" MSEG 4.8"

Long Term Goal: NBPEL: 6.5" MSEG 5.25"

Stop and let everything heal. Once it is healed make sure you have morning wood just to be safe.

Thanks for the advice. This stuff is frustrating. If I lighten up on the jelqs it just doesn’t seem like it’s doing anything.

Can I keep doing kegels while I’m waiting for it to heal, or would that be counterproductive?

It’s either too tight with the jelqing or too long Jelqing.

You have broken blood vessels mate so you will have to lighten up on the pressure you are applying. Large purple spots means a lot of broken blood vessels so you need time off to heal. You can argue that kegels will slow the healing, ideally don’t do them. I haven’t had any issues continuing to kegel the coupe of times I have had spots but I did reduce how many i did.

Are you using heat at all? That makes a massive difference for me.

Treat the newbie routine as a learning exercise. You are learning your dick, learning the techniques, learning patience and setting the foundation for future growth.

Keep doing Kegels and stop doing Jelqs until you heal. Always use heat before the session (I use it after too) and always check the tension you apply in your Jelqs find a comfortable pression. Take care!

Definitely let that heal up before starting again. Try a jelq-free routine that focuses on holding the pressure, not counting reps. Many guys love this technique and its big brother, modified jelqing:

To perform a Kegel Clamp, form an OK sign grip with thumb and forefinger at the base of your flaccid penis with the palm facing you, not too tight. Fingers should be lubricated with lotion that doesn’t dry out easily and washes off quickly. Circle the shaft tightly and either Kegel in blood or stimulate yourself to add blood to the shaft above your grip. Be sure your foreskin is retracted, unless you want the foreskin to grow along with the head. To add blood, open the grip and either Kegel in blood or let the erection mechanism do it (DO NOT continue to get fully hard). Continue to allow more and more blood in by opening and closing your grip, with the grip ALWAYS going back to the tight grip seal it was when you started while flaccid. As you add increasingly more blood, the entire shaft and head will begin to feel tighter and start to become slightly painful with the stretching sensation. The head will become shiny and stretched very tight. At this point, HOLD that grip/pressure and dwell on that overall stretching pain sensation. You can squeeze the grip tighter to increase pressure as well. Hold as long as you can, (30 or more seconds up to a few minutes depending upon grip strength/stamina) and then reset and repeat until a total of 5 minutes have gone by. At the 5 minute mark, release your grip and massage the shaft and head to restore circulation for 2-5 minutes (also helps prevent discoloration) and then start another 5 minute expansion session.

M9 (Formerly known as M8ter)

As others have said the red/purple spots are damaged blood vessels, namely capillaries; i’d say caused by going too hard, too quickly in that session without an adequate warm-up. Reduce grip strength and use do a better warm-up. Some use a heated cloth, rice bag, IR lamp. I personally use hot water from the shower head for a minimum of 5 minutes and do manual stretches at the same time. Some would say 10 minutes is ideal for a proper warm-up and they may be right. I would recommend finding which works for you using 5 minutes as a bare minimum.

Kegels may not really interfere with healing of the injury but it probably wont help either. I’d say just refrain from PE for a bit a few days is around the usual duration of this kind of injury. Rest for 3 days or so and it should be fine depending on how big they are; I haven’t been able to see the photo. Use your best judgement as to when it has healed and take this as your first lesson in PE. It’s a learning process that even people with years of experience are still going through. And don’t worry, there is nothing permanent from this kind of basic injury and by the end of the week it should be like it never even happened.

As much as I don’t like to completely oppose someone, I would absolutely not follow M9ters advice here. If you’re getting burst capillaries and large blood spots from jelqing, doing this will create new blood spots that will make your old ones look small. I would suggest you work on warm-ups and jelqing before considering giving this a go. Take it slow, no need to rush anything here. I never got blood spots from jelqing because I warmed up from the start, however even with my warm up this kind of technique gave me my first dots.

It’s now been 8 days and while the purple spots went away after about 4 or 5 days, my erections SUCK. I’m trying not to get too nervous reading horror stories. I gripped pretty hard for the jelqing. I didn’t know any better. Is this permanent? Weeks? Months? What can I do?

I have some Cialis.

I cannot comment on the timeline you’re looking at.

I would advise that you stay away from PE until you can observe consistent morning wood. Only then consider resuming your PE - this time with a much gentler grip. (It doesn’t really take too much grip strength to make the blood move in a jelqing motion).

You can also use this break to educate yourself more about proper jelqing technique, kind of mistakes newbies do and how to avoid them etc., may be?

Also, I don’t think forcing an erection using Cialis when you’re injured is a good idea. I would stay away from it.

Be patient. Your junior will likely return stronger.

Seconded, the timeframe is highly variable and we dont have enough information to even attempt to predict a timescale. Like I said before about the dots, the timescale should be up to 5 days and I see that was accurate. But as for the temporary ED, which I am sure is temporary, this kind of thing has many more independent variables. I would generally imagine a maximum of 2 weeks though before they return to normal, if you’re not getting any pain and its not numb, etc.

I actually agree with literally everything in RazorJack’s post, it is all very good advice.

If you want to take anything at all for your penis circulation, if anything i would say ginseng and ginkgo biloba and horny goat weed. Cant say how well they work but they wont force an erection in the way Cialis would while at the same time giving you improved bloodflow to allow more for your own natural erection.

Not too much information, too little. How long did you wait from taking the Cialis until trying to achieve the erection? What was your EQ (erection quality) on a scale from 1-10? What was your typical EQ prior to injury?

Does doing the deed work against what? I was given to believe your erections were not self-sustaining enough for penetration due to the low EQ.
If against PE in general, thats a very debated topic. If against recovery, if you can get it up naturally, work with it gently. No Cialis for now though.
