Chemical PE - PGE1 Pain Solution Thread

Chemical PE - PGE1 Pain Solution Thread

I figure there are enough people out there who experience that nagging ache in the penile tissues while under the influence of a PGE1-induced erection. It seems that those of us who can’t get tri or quad mix must rely on some form of PGE1, such as Caverject injections or Doubleweener’s DIY PGE1. Sadly, it seems a side effect of PGE1 is painful erections that get more painful the longer you are erect. The next step for us Chemical PE guys is to figure out how to reduce or eliminate the pain from PGE1 erections.

For myself, I have found that the pain levels corresponds with how erect I am for how long. The pain generally starts coming up after 45 minutes and is definitely there in full force by an hour. This is with at least a 100% erection. However, I noticed when I took 0.25 mcg, I was half erect for two hours, yet there was no pain.

PGE1 pain also seems to be affected by your movements/body position. When walking it’ll hurt more, when holding the penis in certain position (hell, even holding the penis), or by the way you sit/lay will effect the pain level differently. I put myself in the “doggy style” position, face down, ass up. Interestingly the pain was almost gone and pretty manageable (as in I could do other things mentally) in this position.

I’m calling for everyone who is taking PGE1 to chime in on how much pain they experience, what they do to try and relieve it, and of course, to keep experimenting with substances (please don’t hurt yourself) and/or positions to manage the pain.

My luck I do not have such problems. I feel sore on Caverject but it’s nothing that painful as you describe. I could go for 4-5 hours with that I think. Good luck guys in finding solution!

As posted on the main Chem PE thread,

Interesting news, guys. Found this out after doing quite a bit of digging for more PGE1 solutions:

“Prolonged pain, which is variously described by patients as occurring through the shaft of the penis, in the perineum or both (Fallon 1995) or an aching sensation along the ventral surface of the penis lasting for 30 minutes to 3 hours (Gerber & Levine 1991) after the injection is quite common with PGE1 alone. The incidence of penile pain after the injection of PGE1 has varied in different series from 0 to 91% (Stackl et al. 1988, Hwang et al. 1989, Ishii et al. 1989, Lee et al. 1989, Earle et al. 1990, Schramek et al. 1990, Linet & Ogrinc 1996, Kim et al. 1997). In most cases, however, the pain is mild. Gerber and Levine (1991) did not find any difference in pain incidence based upon the etiology. The etiology of pain has not been fully elucidated. The pain is probably induced by alprostadil itself, because PGE1 can sensitize the peripheral terminals of primary afferent nociceptors and, consequently, produce hyperalgesia (Ferreira 1983, Capetola 1983). Alkalinization of the injected solution from pH 4.17 to 7.05 by the addition of sodium bicarbonate was found to produce significant alleviation of penile pain in a randomized study of patients injected with a mixture containing 10 µg of PGE (Moriel & Rajfer 1993). The addition of procaine has also been experimentally used as a method of reducing PGE1-associated pain (Schramek et al. 1994): a combination of 20 µg of PGE1 with 20 mg of procaine decreased the incidence of local pain significantly. Multidrug combinations including PGE1 have resulted in a lower incidence of pain (Govier et al.U1993, Montorsi et al. 1993).”

So, basically one can mix PGE1 with some baking soda and greatly reduce the pain. Only thing is, how much?

I definitely get the pain. Mine show up right around the 1:15 mark. The worst is when the induced erection subsides. I had to laugh when I read how you bend over doggy style to alleviate the pain. For some reason, the bent over position helps with the pain with me also.

Hmmm, seems sodium bicarbonate is another one of those prescription-only mixers here in the US. I’m looking around for a pre-mixed USP-grade supplier. Everyone who cares please help out.

By the way, cannabis doesn’t help kill any of the pain by itself. However, if you feel like meditating while on it it’ll help A LOT. I was in the zone the other day while meditating on cannabis, and I got this weird feeling of “It’s just a penis being very erect, it likes this state…” and my pain was transformed to relaxation. However, once I opened my eyes and whatnot the pain would return. I noticed that I had to give ALL my attention to my penis while high to reduce the pain. It did work, but I don’t want to spend two or three hours doing a spiritually-worthless penis meditation, especially while high.

At least register and I have similar experiences with the “doggy style” position, lol. It seems this is the most comfortable position to be in while experiencing PGE1 pain. I have a feeling I’ll be like that for a few hours tomorrow while hopefully studying effectively. I hate having to end my sessions after two hours with phenylephrine pills, just because I can’t take the pain.

Aha! The pain is produced from the acidity of the PGE1:

“In an attempt to determine whether penile pain associated with intracorporeal injections could be due to the acidity of the medication, we performed a randomized study comparing the incidence of penile pain following intracorporeal injections with or without the addition of sodium bicarbonate to the intracorporeal medications. A total of 38 consecutive patients who presented to our clinic with impotence received 0.2 ml. of a combination of 3 drugs: 6 mg. papaverine, 100 micrograms. phentolamine and 10 micrograms. prostaglandin E1 with (pH 7.05) or without (pH 4.17) the addition of sodium bicarbonate (0.03 mEq.). Of the 19 patients without sodium bicarbonate added to the medication 11 (58%) complained of penile pain due to the medication, while only 1 of the 19 men (5%) who received sodium bicarbonate complained of penile pain. From these data we conclude that the penile pain following intracorporeal injections is most likely due to the acidity of the medication, which can be overcome by elevating the pH to a neutral level.

I wonder if the application of DMSO after injection would ease the pain? On top of being a collagen relaxer it also works on inflammation and pain. My only concern is that DMSO is said to “enhance” a medications effects. So I am not sure if this would PGE-1 and enhance its effects.

Maybe I should try not adding DMSO, as I do so every time.

I’m joining in on the discussion with a link posted more than 3 months ago

In my mix, I’m trying to get close to the Caverject mixture, but I’m not incorporating those 2 ingredients:

Sodium hydroxide (alkaline) and Hydrochloric acid (acid): probably both used in compound to dilute the other ingredients, especially the alpostradil. They’re probably used together to keep the mix neutral.

Should the pain be related to the acidity of our mix, then adding sodium hydroxide (in very small doses) should really be a way to get the mix neutral.

I injected normally with the 0.2 mix of sodium bicarbonate. Sadly I am only half erect, as I injected less than 0.5 mcg of PGE1, rougly 0.4 mcg by eyeballing. Odd how 0.1 can make such a difference. Anyway, I notice that the area about 1/8” around where I injected turned to my original skin color, as most of my penis is darker than it used to be. I was hoping to get a massive erection to test the pain, but it looks like I’ll have to try again tomorrow with a higher dose of PGE1.

Just in: my erection has gotten higher, in about an hour if I have no pain I will be the happiest man alive, momentarily. Haha.

Well, my erection lasted for a little over 2 hours and 30 minutes before the phenylephrine (1 tab) started kicking in. I did not have any dire pain until almost two hours into my erection, which is twice as long as how it normally is. I shall try quite a bit more baking soda powder to mix next time. Another thing I noted was I didn’t initially get the “hollowed head” feeling in my penis right after injecting. Generally a few minutes after injection it feels like my erection is starting to firm starting near the glans, then working backwards up the whole shaft (of course it doesn’t really work like that, but feels this way, it’s almost painful but isn’t). I didn’t experience that feeling until 15 or 20 minutes in. I was comfortably reading and doing other things around my place until about two hours had passed, in which I got that ultra-fatigued bursting erection feeling (similar to when losing erection on PGE1). I decided that over two hours is enough for an erection on what seemed to be less than .5 mcg of PGE1, so I popped the red pill (see earlier in post). I’m glad I only need 1 pill to get the erection to subside in about 45 minutes. I’ve thought of making a smokable version of phenylephrine, as I like the almost-instantaneous blood-brain-barrier drug transportation that the lungs provide.

Overall I’m very happy that I can now, assuming it was the sodium bicarbonate, have a productive PGE1 session, lasting optimally for around 2 hours, which is all I need. A few more trials are needed to establish this as an effective remedy, however.

Against sound scientific method, I did not add DMSO topically this time. However, I believe DMSO has no role in the pain or lack thereof. Also, I still had the same achy feelings I’ve always had and would not play with it or have sex while under the influence of PGE1. The thing was, for most of the erection, there was no pain.

Hey 10inch!
I’m more than delighted to read that you’ve found such an easy, cheap and efficient way to get the pain down.
Baking soda! - Now that’s true McGyver-style!
Bravo! And thanks for you contribution to DIY mixing!

Can you explain your dosage a bit more in detail?
You’re injecting about 1ml of fluid, right? How much baking soda did you add to that? Would the baking soda show traces of reaction, such as bubbling or producing foam?

I inject about 1/2 ml each time. I put enough of the powder in to cover about 1/2 the bottom of your vial’s surface. I’ll try with a bigger amount this next go around. Hopefully the lack of pain wasn’t just because of a slight variance in dosage and/or the withdrawal of DMSO.

What’s interesting is it seems this pains comes from mostly the “inner penis”, that goes what I feel about 7 inches into my body. The area is between the legs when you stand up, and it’s the part that causes most pain. Also, I was kegeling last night with a self-induced erection and felt something “blow” in my penis, although it turned out to have apparent effect. Scary stuff.
