New pump - maybe a little big Any way to fix

New pump - maybe a little big Any way to fix

Hello! I just got a brand new Lapdist Deluxe pump package and am eager to start Avocet’s pumping routine! However, I think the cylinder may be a little too big for me - I ordered a 9” by 2”. I’m about 5.3 - 5.5in in girth, so I figured the 2 inches would provide ample room for growth since I’m on the cusp so to speak. However, it’s a little hard to get a good seal. I tried a preliminary fitting last night. I really couldn’t get the pump to seat properly most of the time, and one time I got an “ok” seal and pumped up to about 1mm/hg, it was like only the skin at the bottom of the penis swelled. Also, due to the angle of my erection, it was like the head was pressed up against the top of the tube. I’m going to trim down a little more today and try again.

However, does this sound like it’s a little bit too wide for me? If so, is there some sort of “o-ring” or stopgap measure I can use to facilitate a good seal without having to buy another, smaller tube.

Finally - did anyone else get a “care” sheet with their Lapdist pump? I’m not entirely sure how to wash and care for the cylinder - the last thingI want is to mess up the seal on top or something.

In any case, thank you!

Are you using something like KY jelly, both as a lube and a sealant for the base?

As for cleaning, I use a yarn-style bottle brush from the local supermarket, and clean it out with dishwashing liquid and water.

I’m pretty new at pumping, but here’s a thought on how to get a better seal:

First, starting with at least a 75% erection, put your dick in the pump and withdraw just enough air to create a light vacuum.

Now, take one hand and press the pump firmly in towards your body. Then reach down with the other hand and trace a circle around the base of the pump, pulling as much scrotum skin as possible down and away from the cylinder, while also making sure to pull out any pubic hairs that may have gotten caught inside.

Next, increase the vacuum while still pressing the cylinder firmly into your body. Try not to let any of your ball sack sneak back in.

I actually don’t use lube around the base because I don’t want any scrotum skin to eek in. I do put a dab around my glans so the head of my dick can move smoothly inside the cylinder.

Why are you trying to fix something you haven’t even properly tried yet? Wait until you have time to do it right and then tell us how it worked.

If you use an electric pump, it will always keep the vacuum.

Try a silicone cock ring, should make for a perfect fit.

Also make sure your good and hard before going in and make sure there are no hairs

getting in the way of a good seal.

Okay, I’ve given it another try with mixed results. I’ve trimmed a bit more using one of those close micro-trimmers. I’ve managed to establish a seal a little easier - I can actually get increased pressure in the tube. However, it is difficult to keep a constant pressure. The largest problem I’ve found however is what seems to actually be pumped. The pump sucks up a whole bunch of my “turkey neck” skin creep and base skin (I think this is what it is doing) and packs the tube for about 1 inch from the bottom. This feels marginally uncomfortable due to the skin stretch. This occurs even when I try to pull the shaft skin However, the rest of my penis doesn’t feel like it’s getting pumped. I cannot see any visible length or girth increases above that 1 inch pack, nor does my penis really “feel” worked. I attempted the whole thing with varying success for about 10 minutes, attempting no more than 3mm hg at best.

What does everyone think?

I think it’s real early yet to predict the degree of pump you are going to get in your tube after a couple weeks of use. If it looks to you like a full erection at 3 HG now, it is.

I’ve found that a little bit of vaseline on the tube base then a quarter twist downward on the tube once I have inserted myself into it usually gives me a good seal. If it has been a while since I shaved, it is very difficult for me to get a seal.

Sugoi — sounds like everything’s on track. For me: shaving made a *huge* difference in the quality of the seal I got; lube definitely helped also.

It’ll take a few weeks for your tissue to stretch enough to really respond to pumping — keep at it.

As for cleaning — sure wish these things we’re dishwasher-safe! ;)

Okay, I’ll give it another try - just to be clear the main thing that bothers me is that there is a large inflation at the bottom of the tube, like 1 inch worth of base skin that packs the tube and creates the seal. I’ve never seen anything like this before or read about it, and it’s a bit uncomfortable. I may post a pic if it sounds a little unusual.

Thanks everyone!

Did you go into the tube hard, or at least around 90 percent? Doing this might clear up a lot of your issues.

Sugoi what is your base girth? Preliminary pumping can’t compare to an extensive session.

1 Keep at it for longer

2 Get some of your scrotal and fat pad skin in at the base.

3 Lube for better seal as well as penis movement in tube.

4 Find a seal

5 Get a slimmer tube.

I use a 9 x 2 Vacutech Thickwall.

SiamGuy - my base girth is between 5.2 at semi hard, and around 5.5-5.6 when fully erect.
1. Will do. No way I’m giving up :)
2. This seems to be what’s happening. I don’t have much fat pad, but a decent amount of scrotal skin. I really don’t want to stretch it out though.
3. I lube up a few inches into the tube per Avocet’s instructions, the majority of the shaft, and the lip around the base of the tube.
4. Working on this. If all else fails, I was thinking the cockring idea may help to seal it up at the bottom.
5. I’m hoping this isn’t the case,as those suckers are expensive! If anything I’ll try to jelq and stretch until I’m big enough :D

I’m going to try some pretty severe shaving tonight (my girlfriend is going to kill me for this, she doesn’t like it if I shave close). I’ll get back to everyone soon. Thanks for all your time.

Edit: As far as the cockring idea goes, I plan to use it not to make the erection harder but basically to get a little extra girth for a better seal and to keep from stretching any scrotal skin. For this is it imperative to get a silicone or jelly ring? Will one of those little rubber ones work? Is this even a good idea at all, provided the close shaving fails?

Too late to edit :(

Anyhow, I shaved very close this time and managed to get a seal much easier! However I’ve still got that bottom of the tube bulge going on. I warmed up with a rice sock, did some basic manual stretching, and then got into the pump. Since the seal was better I stayed in the pump for about 7 minutes at 3mm. The base of my penis/bulged area became unconfortable around then, so I pulled out and massaged for a good 5 or 6 minutes. Everything looked fine, not even any red pinpricks that I get from jelqing sometimes. I then preceeded to jelq for about 10 minutes, some overhand, some regular grip at 50-90% erection, just like I do normally. I actually had a really hard erection after pumping that I had to keep down!

Finally, I took a shower and came to write this post :) However, I noticed a little “shadowing” immediately after the shower near the base - it doesn’t hurt nor feel liike a bruise but I’m a little worried. Right now I have it wrapped in a warm rice sock, and upon checking it the darkened area is all but gone. Is this the brusing? If so, I’m not sure what I’ve overdone, since I stayed below 10 minutes and 5mm. Maybe my body needs more time to adjust?

Anyway, I’m glad things are working better. I’m just hoping sucking that skin up doesn’t cause greater skin creep/turkey neck than I already experience :/
