How much should I be expanding in the cylinder?

Hi Guys me again,

I am 6” x 5” just got my new 1.75” cylinder.

My question is how much should I be expanding in the tube?

I am pumping at 5hg,but my penis is just expanding in girth but hardly anything in length.

Am I doing it right?

I hardly see any length increase in the tube. Sometimes if I do manual stretches and go to like 6 or 7hg (with a condom on) I might hit a little over my bone-pressed EL (7.25-7.35) but pumping doesn’t benefit length as much as girth. For length gains you might look into stretching and/or hanging.

I am new as well to the pumping game, but I do know it will take time for everything to happen.. You have to be patient. Don’t get carried a way and hurt your unit. You should read avocet8s post on pumping.

Triple Bingo. We’re talking years here amigo - this isn’t like pumping your arms. Put it to you this way: I’m 7.25x5 mid-shaft (5.3 at the base) and I’m nowhere close to packing my 1.75”. Nowhere close. You’ll get there but patience and consistency is everything. And if you haven’t already, definitely read both the 101 and condom pumping threads - they will only motivate you further.

I think if you want to focus on length by pumping at this point, you may need a smaller diameter cylinder. I’m bigger than you in girth, and I also have a 1.75” cylinder mostly for length work, and that’s just about right for me. My larger girth expands to fill that size cylinder easily, I think I have less risk of fluid buildup because it’s a good fit without too much expansion, and then when I pump I definitely get increased length. The tight cylinder also seems to be correcting a little bit of curve to one side that I used to have.

I started out less than your size, about 5.5 nbp x 4.75 . I’ve been using a 1.75” cylinder for years. At first it took me an hour or more to pack the cylinder girthwise, but most of that was water of course.

Now I can pack the cylinder immediately, and usually stretch to the 7.5” mark. Occasionally I will pump up to 8” but that is pushing it.
My current size is around 6-6 1/4” nbp x 5.5” girth.

It helps a lot to wrap a heat pad around the tube while pumping. The heat promotes expansion.

I am expanding in girth in the tube but hardly any in length,I have been filling the tube up with warm water.

I am pumping for 15mins at a maximum of 5hg.well at least I know I am doing it right.

How long have you been pumping?

If you are putting water in a standard tube attached to a standard hand vacuum pump you will do damage to the pump in a very short period of time. And, although I have never done water pumping, have the propensity to get blisters on your dick.

I’ve been pumping for about 8 1/2 years. Its a long time, and I suppose one would expect better gains, but I seem to be a hard gainer. Much of that time has been spent discovering what is effective and what is not, and what is downright stupid.
I think I have a pretty good handle on it now and appear to be making better progress.
