How long until your pumping becomes a waste

How long until your pumping becomes a waste

I’ve bought a pump arriving soon. I want to use it as another means of getting better erections…and maybe if I’m lucky some size, even though the legitimacy of pumping for gains is debated.

Anyway I would personally view pumping as working out - if you don’t remain consistent, you lose what you have worked for.

I travel quite a bit. If I have to go for say 10 days without pumping, do you think this will render months of work pointless?

You’ve posted as a Senior Member in a Pumpers Forum full of threads alluding to the legitimacy of pumping for gains.

I don’t see a whole lot of debate for pumping not working for PE (it certainly works for me).

Post Newbie Routine, regular sets of low HG pumping combined with heat / jelqing / stretching is a proven methodology for growth.

^My post was not an attack on pumping. I see it as potentially a great aid to erections, and maybe size when used ALONE. There is debate about the legitimacy of pumping gains when one DOES NOT supplement it with jelqing/stretching, which I plan not to do as in MY opinion jelqs/stetches are inherently dangerous. But that is not what this thread is about. It is about how often one needs to continue pumping, atleast with maintenance, before the achieved results begin to fade.

The only test on whether you will make gains from pumping, it to try it out. There is no mathematical - or any other forlmula you can use. It’s a case of trial. Most people who make gains find that they keep some of the gain at least. If they are more fortunate they keep all of the gains.

It’s rather like keeping your body healthy, and strong. When you leave off the exercise, your muscles regress somewhat and if you take no exercise then you will lose more of the gains that you made.

So it all boils down to trial, use, and maintenance.

The only factual answer that can be given is - Lot’s of members have made gains; a few have lost part of the gain.

So the odds are on, that you will make permanent gains.

To answer your other question At first you will losee some of the gain, but as you progress with use then the gains will stay much longer. 10 days isn’t too much of a problem providing it doesn’t happen too often. Hopefully it won’t happen too often, but if it dies then you will have far more difficulty in getting good gains in the short term.

Sorry it’s not very positive, But that shouldn’t stop you from having a go.

Moderate jelqing and stretching are in no way dangerous.

Opinions are all well and good, but look at it this way:

— athletes stretch their ligaments without mishap
— some men masturbate with relatively tight grips without mishap

A jelqing grip slightly harder than masturbation is all it takes. Nor do you need to jelq for hours — 100 or so has been enough for me so far.

A light pull to where you feel some ligament resistance is good enough. Again you do not need to do tons of them either

Of course you can injure yourself with those exercises if you overdo them.

Just like you can injure yourself with any physical exercise if you overdo them.

The rule for PE is simple — if is hurts, don't do it.

^I generally agree that in theory doing it lightly should be no problem. However, I get nothing but negative PI’s from even light jelqing and stretching. I have tried many variations in grip and workout intensity, and the result is always poorer erections, and a turtling flaccid after the session. So I steer clear. Not saying it is like this for everyone, just my personal experiences.

Thanks for the response. That is about what I expected. However, if the betterment of erection quality is anything like described I would view pumping as a great exercise regardless of size increases.

You are absolutely right to avoid them then. I certainly understand this, as I consider myself “PE sensitive” too. That’s why I confine my self to just a few sets of stretching and no more than 120 jelqs (maybe 180 somedays). Any more than that and I get negative PI’s.

This makes me worry a little bit about how you will respond to pumping. Maybe try cutting avocet8’s time recommendations in half:

Vacuum Pumping 101

So that where he says start with a ten minute session, you could instead start with a five minute session.

That is sort of what I did when I started pumping, as I am a pretty cautious guy. I also kept my pressure quite low in the beginning, just enough to get a little suction. I took quite a while to work up to 3.0HG and three sets of ten minutes.

Best of luck with this…something that I did not expect is that pumping is very calming and relaxing. I think the brain must release “feel good” chemicals. To me pumping is great for those feelings of relaxation and contentment!

You’re assuming that pumping gains are temporary: my pumping gains have been permanent: so I would have to say that no maintenance is necessary to maintain those gains.

I also would have to agree with ‘tit: perhaps the way you are jelqing and stretching is dangerous, but it’s quite a stretch to make the blanket statement that “all jelqing and stretching is dangerous”.

GM

All penises are made different. Just like some are big and some small, I think some just respond well to certain types of PE where others don’t. In regards to jelqing and strecthing, I am one who does not respond well. There is also as small group of people that have permanent/semi permanent injuries from jelqing. Hence, my paranoia. But you are correct. Jelqing seems to be safe and beneficial for the majority.

Sta-kool: Thanks for the advice, appreciate it. I have read a few posts about the calming and relaxing effects of pumping, definitely another aspect of it I am looking forward to. BTW I plan to follow Avocets pumping routine for ED, eg 3 or 4 short 5 - 7 minute sessions, low pressure broken up to mimic night time erections - my nocturnal erections and EQ are still less than they could be.

So when you say 100-120 jelqs overall.. Do you mean you do like three sets of 10 minutes or so and do 40 jelqs after each set?
I’m very interested in your routine because it seems like you made good gains and my pump should be arriving soon!
