Pumping advice for beginner

Hey guys. I’ve finally decided I want to implement pumping into my routine. I had a few questions about getting started…

I’ve come to find the general idea is that wet pumping is a little better than dry pumping, and I Believe I will go this route.

whats everyones advice on good brand of a wet pump with a guage (no bathtub devices)? I have been recommended a ThickWall wet pump with a water trap. I definitely want something with a gauge. MY primary goal is girth, as ive gained virtually none in 8 months of manuals (dry and wet jelq w bends). However, obviously would like length as well. Does this change how I approach my workouts and specific type of pump, or can they be worked on together (girth and length)?

How do I go about picking the right pump and size? I know there is a lot of posts about pumping but I haven’t found a specific technique on finding the right size for a wet pump.

Also, do I pump in conjunction with my manual girth routine, or is to take its place completely?

My current girth routine is ~120 dry jelqs.

Thank you

P.S. would like a brand that ships *discretely*

First there’s no need to create duplicate posts. Give member’s time to respond. Secondly, try the search function. There aren’t many things that haven’t been covered previously.

Read up more on jelqing technique.

I think there may be a technical issue with your jelqing if you have gained nothing in 8 months…

There is the possibility that your technique is fine but you are heavily overworking which would also produce little to no gains.

If you think your technique is good, then my advice is stay away from any devices as you may have the tendency to overwork and with pumping an injury is very likely.

As a beginner, forget the water. It will be too much to worry about and might keep you attention on getting the setup right at the cost of carefully monitoring your penis.

Yeah idk I may be overworking? My PIs are good and I don’t feel overworked. Doing 6 weeks on 1 week of. Maybe I had premature toughening when I first started… not sure how to get over that at this point if that were to be the case though. I’ve already attempted a deconditioning break after my newbie routine. Lasted a Little over 2 weeks.

As far as the wet pumping I’ve heard it’s safer than dry, and I intended on starting at low pressure (3hg) and work up to 5 slowly building time as well.

Would your recommend less days? I’m doing 2 on 1 off. Or just less reps? I’m not sure I’m overworking currently. But I can’t completely rule out the fact that I had maybe done too much too soon. Still a maybe though… But I have gained almost .25 in length. Just no girth.

If you are thinking about a wet pump like a Bathmate or similar, there really are no sizing choices unless you have a very large starting size. You would just buy their basic pump.

As a newbie to pumping I really would suggest getting a dry pump with a gauge so you don’t go overboard. Starting pressure for a newbie is only 3-4inhg and a Bathmate with no gauge can easily produce a pressure of 15inhg with only a pump or two and that will cause a lot of trauma.

If you decide to get a dry pump here is our table for selecting your cylinder size: Selecting Your Cylinder Size

Here is a great air pump with a gauge for a good price and shipping is free.

Search eBay

Also, I don’t know of anybody that ships a penis pump in a box that says: Hey everybody, there is a penis pump inside! :D

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Hahah ok yeah makes sense with the shipping . I’m looking for the wet pump in a sense that you fill it with warm water and has a gauge and water trap. I specifically don’t want a bath mate, as I don’t have a bath and hate taking baths even if I did lol. But I’ll consider the dry pump w gauge.

Keep in mind that a heated rice sock wrapped around the cylinder keeps your dick warm.

I love pumping

I am quite happy with pumpimg, I have been working between 7 hg and 12 max for 3 or 4 7-8 m9nute sessions almost daily.

These pressures seem high but I am not expeirencing edema or bruising. If I spot I stop immediately.

Only at 6.35 inch length I am using a LeLuv 1.75 rigid cylinder. I sometimes use a sheath to fight edema.

Are you using water in the cylinder,’or just dry pumping?

And have you seen any gains yet?

(Either Temporary or permanent)

A long time ago I started with dry pumping and after a long while switched to wet pumping with all different kinds of set-ups. But now, I have gone back to dry pumping because it is just a lot less hassle and I really like the results.

So for you as a newbie to pumping, I really think you should start off with dry and after you have mastered that, then consider wet pumping. Then later, if you want to go wet you can add a water trap to your dry pump set-up.

I am again dry pumping, please explain more on wet pump pros. It seems like a well lubed session with a warm tube is comfortable.
