I restarted pumping about a year and a half ago. I had fairly severe ED. Over time, with PE and TRT, that got better.

I had purchased an electric heating pad when I got the tube, but didn’t actually use it until late last year, and only occasionally at that. It seemed to help with expansion in the tube, but it was sort of a hassle to use it.

After a two-week decon I resumed pumping, and things were going well. EQ was outstanding. A few days ago I started using the heating pad regularly… and EQ went into the dumpster. Morning wood and night wood vanished completely.

Nothing else - diet, time spent PEing, pump time/vacuum, home circumstances, meds, supplements, health - changed, and the loss of EQ was noticeable the first time I used the heating pad. Back when I was using it before I still had ED, so if it was happening then, it wasn’t really apparent.

For lack of anything else, I’m going to point the accusing finger at the heating pad.

My question is, “has anyone else noticed a reduction in EQ when using a heating pad?”

I noticed a greater increase in edema and red spots, even though everything else was the same regarding routine and supplements. I have to reduce the time and pressure with heat.

I’d be very curious to see if it was simply an aberration or if there is a causal link between pumping with heat and EQ.

I get noticeably better stretch with heat, and I got measurable gains with it, but that was when ED was bad enough that I wouldn’t have been able to tell if heat was affecting anything.

I’m curious to learn your results! I use heat with no discernible change in EQ. Without heat, I experience bruising on my glans even at 3” hg. Not always, but it happened enough that I always use heat. I’ve been pumping for over a decade, and still learning. Perhaps I should try it without heat again. Not today, though.

Gave it another day, then tried the heating pad this morning, just for the first pump session. 30 minutes in the tube, turned the heat off at 15 minutes. Came out about 25% erect, and faded to zero when edging. Second session, had about 75% on both. For the last few days, it’s been 100% each time.

My schedule lately has been 20 or 30 minutes at 3”Hg, 10 minutes edging (sometimes with a stayer ring, sometimes not), then a second pumping/edging session. The idea is to use vacuum to pull from the outside, alternating with pressure from the inside. I’ve been pumping for a long time, but alternating with edging is new for me, and that requires a decent EQ.

On the other hand, gains seem to be more closely correlated with heat. The pump/edge routine has been pleasant, but I guess my next step is to do it a few more weeks, measure, and then go to pumping+heat and ignore EQ for the same period, then measure and see which works better.

It doesn’t look like anyone else is having a similar problem, and as such things are prone do to, it might go away on its own. Just another “weird dick” thing.

I have the same experience as you. When I pump like 2x10 min at 4-5 without heat my EQ is good. But when I have heat or I should say to much heat and to long my EQ drops down to zero for a day or two. On the other hand the expansion seems to be better with heat but that could be that heat also gives me more fluid buildup.

I don’t have a heating pad, but in the last week I believe I abused the temperature of the water in my pump and the look of my penis and morning erections have actually reduced… the heat is important but it’s something you need be used with attention and care, everything is very sensitive down here.
