30 mins at 7hg - interesting

I pumped at 7hg for 30 minutes today and got around 1/4 thicker and 1/4 longer, seemed a lot more of a pump than my normal 5 hg for 15 minutes. question is, is this safe to do? (The unit looks a little beat up note)

Would pumping at 7 hg @ 10 minutes be more benificial than pumping 4-5hg @ 30 minutes?

So basically, my key question being, is it more gainful to do high time/low pressure or lowtime/high pressure.

I’m leaning toward the high time/low pressure theory. Any of you guys have experience with this sort of comparison?

Obviously the increased pump was due to an increase in hg and time, but my main point was bringing up the

high intensity/ short time vs. low intensity/ long times

issue.

I’m pretty sure that Pumping 101 answers these and other questions, at least from the point of view of someone who has made good gains pumping. I think you answered one of your own questions though, most people don’t want their dick to look “beat up.” I personally don’t pump yet, but have noticed that many others suggest the same format as the one mentioned in P101…seems to work for many.

I think neither.

Low pressure (3 - 6 hg) and short sets ( 6 - 8 minutes) with manual exercise breaks between pump sets seems to work for most.

As soflsun pointed out, if your cock looks beat up to you, it probably is. This means what you are doing is counter-productive. Maybe you need to rethink the routine?

A temporary pumped gain increase may dazzle any of us, but it’s what shows up and stays during sex and masturbation that most of us are really going for.

Yea - I’m not really looking to destroy the toy. I’ll cool it and just do the pumping 101 sessions. I think I have this mindset of “no pain no gain” which is probably not good when it’s applied to a wang. Thanks for the replies.

When it comes to pumping, the phrase “no pain no gain” definitely DOES NOT APPLY. Heed this advice from a longtime pumper, who has made his mistakes as a novice along the way. Pumping at higher pressures should not be done until you have had some longevity with more modest pumping techniques. If and when you do decide to experiment with higher pressure, always keep the time at the higher HG limited to a minute or less and incorporate gradual step up procedures for very short periods of time with frequent release of vacuum pressure.

I am not an experienced pumper, but doesn’t the size of the tube have a bearing on whether you draw in more lymphatic fluid or blood?
I was thinking about alternative routines for myself (seems i have hit my first plateau) and was considering a pump.
I have read a lot about pumping and understand that one common “side effect” is the “doughnut” and to prevent this I would need to wrap. But wouldn’t a cylinder of a smaller diameter prevent the doughnut?
If the cylinder was sized to be a close fit to my erect size, wouldnt I pack the cylinder quickly and have no place left to go but up?

Hate to throw a wrench into all those numbers, but I had a lot of success going 5-6 hg for 30 minutes. The thing is though, you can’t just jump from 10 minutes to 30. You should start increasing length of time in the tube in say increments of 5 minutes over a week or two.

I liked to wrap my tube in an electric heat pad while pumping for increased cock expansion and it prevented condensation. Plus it feels nice on a cold winters day.


The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Yeah, it’s wierd because I think my unit repsonds better to 5-6hg at 30 minutes than anything else… I think it just boils down to everyones tissues are a bit different based on how conditioned they are.

I do notice however that there is a lot of lymph build-up at 30 minutes, I’m not sure if thats a good or a bad thing.

My idea is this - If you do a routine and there isnt any significant bruising when your done, then you can handle it. If there is any trauma, then you should scale back. Common sense I guess.
