When will I know if I'm ready to try hanging?

Newbie here…..2 1/2 months into the newbie routine.

I will stick with this routine for a little while longer, but I’m really interested mostly in some length gains. I’d be happy with 1”. When will I know if I’m ready to try hanging, and is this something that I should even consider?


Started - 1/6/07 - BPEL 5 7/8" - EG - 4 3/4"

Currently - 4/13/07 - BPEL 6 1/8" - EG - 4 7/8"

Goal - BPEL - 7.0" - EG - 5.5"

2 1/2 months of obsessing with the newbie routine or just playing with it?

I would say that if you have really been dedicated to manual PE for 3-4 months with zero gains hanging is certainly one of the options on your plate. Hanging becomes much more of a viable option if you have the privacy of working in a home office or the like.

If you are currently getting gains stick with what is working and read up on hanging for future reference.

Well, I’d like to think that I have been pretty steady with the newbie routine. I have not made any measurements since starting, because it was recommended to hold off on doing so until about the third month. Therefore I can’t say if I’ve experienced any measureable gains. The wife notices that my dick feels thicker, so that’s at least a good sign from a girth standpoint. Just don’t know about the length.

Good record keeping is a must if your going to know if your accomplishing anything. So make sure your have a good measuring technique that gives consistent results.

You might try advancing to an ADS form on hanging prior to anything heavy because it gets you ready psychologically for hanging and it teaches you about wrapping as well as prepares your penis for heavier things to come.

After you have exhausted the gains from an ADS by itself then your ready to progress to heavier forms of hanging.

I agree with the above. If you’ve been exercising seriously and consistently and your gains have stopped then it’s time to alter your routine. It might be a good idea to try ADS as an introduction to hanging, only moving to hanging once you’ve exhausted the gains that ADS might provide.

Consistency and dedication is key, not just for achieving gains, but so that you can be relatively sure that it’s time to either progress to a different technique or just basically alter your routine. Make sure to keep good records of your gains and your gain-rate (I keep a graph), so that you can know when it’s time to change tack.

Only ever do just as much as you need to to maintain your own average maximum personal gain rate. For example, if you can get all of your gains from the relatively mild ADS, then so much the better.

Hang anytime you want, you can start with 5lbs. Hang with comfort for 15 to 20 minutes. You should feel high stress without any pain. It is analogous to running 5 miles and feeling the normal muscle fatigue.
