Hey guys,

I have just been very curious about something..
Most guys who have been involved in hanging would tell me that a break between on and off days shouldn’t be more than 36-48 hours cause you shouldn’t let the ligs to get tough. So basically hanging every other day with no more than 1 day off. Yeah but that’s if you’re hanging under your LOT - attacking the ligs. So because of my low LOT I’m currently hanging above my LOT with a stick between my legs.My question is what’s the best schedule for me to hang. I mean do I have to be aware of this 36-48 hour break thing cause I really don’t attack my ligs, but my tunica? And I know this is the slower way to make gains but how long will approximately take to see any new gains? Anyone doing the same thing or similar? Please if you’re share your experience.

Nobody really knows. Follow a routine that you can stick to — if you know you don’t have the motivation to hang every day, don’t bother trying — and wait a few months to see if you make gains.

I’ve found it best to not miss any days when doing a hanging routine. Ease up for a while if necessary by reducing the weight and/or number of sets, but don’t miss days unless absolutely necessary. Don’t take more than a single day off.

I doubt position matters. Whether you are focusing on ligs or the shaft itself, as you’re doing with fulcrum hanging, the same principle applies. Attain a degree of fatigue (doesn’t have to be a lot, but some) and then keep riding it.

I should say that my intuition, based on my own hanging experience, matches Hobby’s. I’ve just seen a few guys post the opposite — that more time between hanging sessions is better — and I haven’t encountered very strong theoretical arguments (or, of course, any specific empirical data, since none exists for PE) to convince me that my own intuition is correct.
