Painful Question

I recently went up in weight by about 5# to shock the ligaments. Problem is, the pulling of the skin rides up over the bottom of the head and causes friction rub. I have stretched out the skin as far as I can while wrapping and I have the Bib just behind the head so it hooks and doesn’t just pull the skin like placement further back does.

I can hang the weight with no problem but the “burn” kills me and then I can’t do more than 1-2 sessions a day. Does anyone know of anything that would numb the little bit of affected skin? I know, no pain, but it’s skin pain as opposed to
ligament/groin pain.

Any suggestions would be wonderful.

Are you cut or uncut ? If your cut then it’s either a loose wrap or the hanger isn,t tight enough.

Try a slightly tighter wrap and a couple of extra turns on the tightening bolts. The answer isn’t numbing the area the only thing this will do is not let you feel the discomfort and could create a problem. Also back the hanger up an extra 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch from the gland.

You didn’t provide alot of info so hopefully this helps. One more thing a little sprinkle of powder on the underside of the wrap also helps with slipage .

Pain is a sign that you are doing something wrong - it’s your body telling you to back off! - listen to it! Never use pain killers to enable you to hang higher weights - it’s a short cut to injury and grief!

Are you circumsized? If you are circumsized, start your wrap at the bottom of the circ scar. Attach your hanger around the wrap loosely then grasp the head of your penis, pull it outwards and squeeze the blood from it. Tighten the hanger while you still have the penis outstretched. Test it for secureness and tightness by firmly pulling the hanger outwards. Gently load your weights - you may need to tighten the hanger again.

Skin stretches are an important and integral part of gains - without them your gains will be significantly impeded. The pain you are experiencing suggests several things - 1)The hanger placement is in correct….. Try repositioning the hanger as suggested. 2) The hanger tightness is incorrect……. Follow the guidelines above and see if that helps. 3)Too much weight…… Drop down in weight - it’s not a weight lifting competition and many men don’t need heavy weights to make gains.

There should be no pain, perhaps slight discomfort, but never enough to warrant a pain killer. Listen to your body - if it hurts, stop! There is no fast route to quick gains ….. but if you injure yourself you’ll make it much, much slower! Take it nice’n’easy and keep us posted.

Painful update

I realize that pain is an important signal from the body. No one more than I understands that.

I am cut, mostly….. they left two little bands, which, for whatever reason, connects the head to the shaft itself. It is in this area where I am getting the most discomfort. That, and just the edge of one side of the base of the head.

I was using about 7# of weight and could hang for a decent amount of time but it took me a good hour or so to get the stretching/aching feeling in the ligament(s). After reading a few posts, I decided that I would try the higher weight to see how it would feel. I LOVE the feel of the heavier weight, it is a good solid sustained tug.

I have tried to adjust the the bib and have found only slight relief. When I started hanging again recently, I had it connected and got more of a pull on the skin at the base. To the point that it seemed to create micro tears over time with residual weeping of the tissue. Much like a very mild fabric burn.

I pull as much skin out as I can to create a tight wrap and prevent slippage. I also have exceptionially sensitive skin and what bothers me, probably doesn’t bother others.

I have not seen any growth recently and wanted to give it a little nudge. I have been hanging for about 6 hours a weekend for weeks. while my body acclimated to the stress it provided no change. As in bodybuilding, sometimes the body has to endure a little more stress in the routine to effect a little change. Although I did go from 7# to about 11#, which may have been a little much, I have always had the problem in varying degrees of the rub in the same area. I just decided I would endure the discomfort in order to precipitate a change.

I just wondered if anyone else had ever had the same situation and if they had a remedy for it.

I’m concerned that you’re hanging too heavy and /or too long - far too aggressive! There should be no weeping of the tissue - none! It also sounds as though your hanger is not anchoring on the internal structures of the penis, try tightening it a little more.

It sounds as though you have a bit of spare skin to play around with - do you still have a partial foreskin?

I would have sent you a pic but your email is inaccessible. I am indeed cut, and I’m exactly as I’ve described. It was certainly an unusual circumcision but I don’t know why. I’ve never seen anyone else who is cut like I am. There isn’t a lot of extra skin, I was simply explaining that I pulled the extra out to create a taught wrap.

The skin wept when I had more pull in the skin than in the shaft. I knew that and changed the contct for it, which is how I ended up getting more of a rub nearer the head. It’s not that it’s too much weight, it’s a question of placement and connection.

Sounds as though you’re going to have to experiment with placement and tightness of the hanger - it can be quite tight without resticting the circulation and even minor adjustments can make a great difference. Remember to squeeze the blood from the glans when you tighten the hanger - this may make it more comfortable. Some guys have tried altering the wrap too - there was one guy who wrapped the glans as well and claimed this was the most comfortable way for him to hang. Be cautious if you attempt this and make sure you monitor the temperature and color during your sets.

The pain is from your stretching the skin i.e. you have clamped the skin and not the penile ligament. Before you put on any weights,take three to four minutes continuously tightening the clamp and you will find that time after time- as the penis molds- you will be able to tighten more. When very tight , you are now clamping the penile ligament and the pain from moving skin will not occur, because it can’t move- you are locked on the part you want to stretch - the ligament—— now put the weight on.
