fluid buildup while hanging

Anyone else gut buildup while hanging? I get it in the section just behind my glans but in front of my wrap. If I wrap all the way up to my glans, I don’t get the buildup, but then the wrap goes over my glans while hanging, and that’s not very comfortable…Any tips?

My answers apply to a traction style hanger. I don’t know in regards to a Vac style hanger.

Did you increase weights or sets really fast to get to your current hanging level. I think edema like that can be from going to fast. If so then back off the weights and sets just a bit and go up again but slower.

Do you feel internal pressure in the glans and area in front of the wrap when you hang? If you do then try to squeeze out the blood when you are attaching the hanger. The skin and glans are incidental when hanging. What I mean is they are not what is holding the hanger on. The internal structures is what the hanger is supposed to be gripping.

If not any of the above trying loosening up your wrap just a little bit.

Ok, thanks for the suggestions. I recently went up to 10 pounds because I wasn’t really getting fatigued at 7.5. Maybe I went a little too fast.

Try going in 1/2 pound increments.

Definitely make sure you are squeezing out your glans. Might also be an attachment issue.

I got some of those headbands today to use as a sleeve for my whole unit while hanging…we’ll see if that little bit more of protection helps at all…

sorry bud no experience with bib type hangers.

Tocar, I tried the headbands, AKA hair tie wraps, but didn’t like them too much. I really prefer sweatshirt (thin) and self-adhesive bandage.

I think I need to get a different brand for sure…this one is already giving out. I like the idea of a ready-made tube. I can say that the fluid buildup wasn’t as bad when I used it. I’m not sure if that’s due to the htw, or maybe I’m just getting more used to the tension.

Probably both. Generally wrapping problem areas with something stretchy helps with fluid buildup.
