Stretching twice a day makes sense

If you think about it, I would imagine stretching the ligs twice a day would make more sense than once a day.

If you stretched them once, they would eventually retract back to their original length later in the day, and the next time you stretch, you’d be back to square one again. If you did a good stretch session in the a.m. however, then later in the day, do another session with maybe a few less reps for maintenance, you could maybe keep your ligs more pliable until the next intense workout. Maybe this is where an ADS comes in?

I would imagine gymnasts who have great flexability stretch their legs more than once a day to maintain their flexability.

When I was stretching my ligs, I spread my 5 minute sets throughout the day…

I’m currently hanging for tunica stress, 2 sets in the am, and then manually stretching as much as possible throughout the day, at least 4-6 5 minute sets at work through the day and at night in front of the tv when privacy allows.

Sounds good to me. I’m starting out with 2 times a day (because)cuz that’s all my schedule will allow, but if I can fit a third or fourth in I will. I want to be sure not to overdo it though. I’ve got a killer lig stretch I use that really fatigues my boy and I don’t want to do any damage :)

I wasn’t, for about 4 months, even thought I was going through the motions manually.

Now I’m hanging straight out to target the septum, 2 sets every morning, and fatiging the hell out of it, so it is more susceptible to my straight out manual stretching throughout the day and night.

This would seem logical as the more time spent stretching should yield more gains. A guy that has been stretching 5 mins/day is unlikely to realize the same gains as a guy that has been stretching for 2 hours/day. A good question is: Does the law of diminishing returns apply to PE? If it does, then at what point does the law of diminishing returns make that extra hour of PE almost useless… What does the PE potential curve look like? Is it exponential, quadratic, linear, or logarithmic. Perhaps it’s rectangularly hyperbolic, or cubic (har har) :) …. This would be an interesting study that could help pinpoint the optimimum amount of time spent per PE session and the amount of time resting between PE sessions to effectively maximize gains.

My guess is the PE potential curve is logarithmic meaning gains come quickly with the more time spent up to a point, but slow down increasingly with each additional hour spent. It’s just a guess, though, with a total 43.7 seconds of thought put into it :) .
