Looking Back: What would you change?

Looking back after 13 months…Wow, I’d change a lot because I haven’t any success yet.

I probably would have given the newbie routine a full 3 months.

I would like to go back and have a different attitude as well. I wish I would have approached PE with the attitude of “you might gain” and not the “you’re going to gain” attitude. I think then I would have been less inclined to do the “quit - start - quit - start” cycle when I don’t make gains. Somewhere along the lines I missed the PE disclaimer that read “some people won’t make many gains, if any.”

I also wish I would have learned how to take accurate measurements much sooner.

Yeah but I am doing a form of hanging, plenty of stretching and jelqs so if I gain length I doubt my foreskin will get longer, it will just be turkey neck since I’m uncut right? Dam I gotta research the turkey neck more, I just end up spending all my forum time looking at things to help growth. Which I don’t regret as of it yet

I read your other thread routine, I just thought you might have some specific tips to help expansion. Do you loosen the clamp nearer to the end of the session or just keep tightening throughout?

If you’re uncut, you shouldn’t need to gain much skin for hanging on your actual penis, but the areas around would grow (fat pad area). We can discuss the clamping issues on the other thread to avoid making this go too off-topic :D .

There is only one way to accurately measure the force you are using while pumping and that is with a pressure gauge. Although I used to pump at much higher pressures, now I always stay below 4”hg with multiple 10 minute sets to get the expansion I want.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Discipline!

I’ve been a member of this forum for a long time and considering that length of time I’ve been here I’ve made lackluster gains.

Why? Lack of discipline! OK it’s really a lack of consistency.

If I was consistent with my PE and only gained a half inch every year, I could have (theoretically) gained 3 inches, instead of the .6 that I have gained.

There are two problems with using the gauge system for me to understand what you’re doing. First, I don’t think pressure is what causes growth, pressure causes expansion, which then causes growth. So, ideally, we’ve measure expansion (in-tube length). The second problem is that I don’t air pump or use a gauge, so I wouldn’t know what you’re doing (I water-pump with no gauge). The only way we can relate is through the different between BPEL and in tube length expansion.

Thanks for your post, gprent. I was hoping you’d post, as I realized your views on pumping in particular seem to have changed with time.

That is depressing. You need some Clubber-type motivation :D .

I wish I had understood the following about my own particular unit:

-Early on: less is indeed more. Later on: more is more, but it is a fine line, very fine.

-Change ups can get growth spurts. Change in method seems to work best. Not all change ups get growth spurts. The ones that don’t seem to be the ones that increased the intensity too much.

-It can be stretched out so that gains of 1-2 mm can be seen every couple of days. But all that was doing was stretching out my limp dick, the BPEL was not following along.

-My growth, (BPEL) happens during rest periods. It sort of back fills. I need regular 3 day rests to back fill.

-Although rest periods are an absolute necessity, a certain amount of time is needed for work out periods. I can’t work out 1 on, 3 off and get gains. 2 days on seems to be the minimum needed, maybe 3, but no more. 2 on, 1 off, 2 on, 3 off seems to be a good schedule for me, given the workout is the right one.

Sept. 4, '07: BPEL 6.875 inches, EG widest 5.25

Goal: Double digits

Discipline and to learn how to do the exercises properly from the beginning.

I would also change much faster from the newbie routine to add the V-stretch at an earlier phase (they really made the difference for me) and also do clamping earlier. I think 3 months with the newbie routine is enough for your unit to accept the strains, not 12 months as many teach.

Historical graph since start including all Measures and Goals -

Start 2008-09-01: 5,9" X 4,5", 2012-03-31: 7,3" X 5.4" - Goal 7,5" X 5,5"

I am no veteran, but I would have purchased a quality ADS and used it since starting hanging and keeping stats back in April 09. This might be the key to my plateau I am in and I am fighting to change that.

Thanks for your very thoughtful post, ER. It’s good to see you back and posting.

My views on fatigue and recovery are identical to what you’ve seen as well.

My biggest regret is not maxing out the newbie routine and starting hanging prematurely because I thought it was pure magic.

The result was a stressed out life because I really did not have time or privacy for hanging. The gains were not that big either. I think I would have gained more with the newbie routine.

I also regret not taking pictures and taking proper measurements of my starting size.

I wish I hadn’t took up a too light maintenance routine before gains were cemented. Oh and I would have been more regular with those oft forgotten kegels.

I couldn’t have been bothered with the newbie routine. My regret is consistency. It all takes time, and if you don’t put in the time your penis needs, you just postpone progress.

I'm consistent in spurts, but gains are undeniable!

2007: BPEL 5.5" / MSEG 4.7" / BG 5.5"

2017: BPEL 6.8" / MSEG 5.3" / BG 6"

I believe if I had more consistency I would have been finished years ago but I had the on and off thing going for awhile. I also would have purchased an extender/ads and used those with consistency. Of course I know what it takes for me now and this year I’m going to the next level.

Short-Term Goal: 6.25" EG by 9/1/14

"Take it Slow and Watch it Grow"

Long-Term Goal: 10.25" BPEL and 6.5" EG ?
