Gains and negative energy balance

Gains and negative energy balance

Along with the Vit C thing, I think the relative energy balance at the time of active PEing may have an impact on gains. As with the Vit C thing, I believe a negative energy balance, loss of body weight, may have a positive impact on gains, whereas a positive energy balance, gaining weight, might have a negative impact on gains.

My experience: After gaining some with PE while in a neutral energy balance state, I decided to lose weight to go along with my ‘new’ penis. This seemed to lead to more gains. After loosing weight and gaining more penis for several months, my energy intake returned more to normal, and about the same time, penis gains began to slow. Very well could be coincidence.

Other’s experience?

As soon as the holidays are over I’m going on a serious diet so I will let you know how your theory works out for me. I gained like 20 pounds in the last 7 months it just seemed to creep up on me. I’m lucky I’m 6-3 so I hold my weight well. It would make the diet better if my dick got bigger, I know losing some of the fat pad will make it seem bigger.

Hey Bib,

As posted on another thread, my gains come when my member is thoroughly fatigued but not totally…Every so often there seems to be a window when this occurs without reason. Your fine line of “Controlled damage”. At 7.5 ELBP and 5.3 girth. Slow but sure. I definately have tough ligs. My whole genetic code is pretty substantial. Ya, German.

Since the Vit C thing…I take only a multi V now but I use to take lots of vitamin C. I can’t say I notice any difference.

Also, my weight literally fell off when I started weight lifting two times only per week, (more workouts did nothing but make me ache) , drinking tons of water, a protein supplement (metrex) after workouts. I also take Chitosan (many question its effectiveness) a fat blocker—works for me. I use to jog, it did nothing for me. But the increased muscle mass seems to burn my pretty fattening diet up.

I have noticed that I have not had a cold or any big illness since I started 3 years ago. Jelq on wood. Healthy,…maybe that is why I am such a slow gainer. LOL

BTW, My Marriage has improved a lot.

I am one of the Vitamin C addicts on the board. Although it sometimes varies, I take at least 4 grams of C a day and sometimes as much as 10 grams. It varies because I am not always able to stick to my meal schedule. I “try” to eat 5 or 6 small meals a day (several of which are protein recovery shakes), and usually take 2 grams of C with most of these meals.

Three years ago, I started a lengthy and brutal divorce and custody battle with Attila the Nun. During the next year, I lost 40 pounds from stress, fatigue, loss of sleep, always being on the run, etc. I went from 185 (I’m 6’ 1” tall) to 145. It took me a year to regain 10 of those pounds, and I was sick a lot with colds, flu, and bronchitis. Last spring, I got on a health kick. I quit smoking, got serious about my eating habits, got out of a stressful relationship, and started working out regularly.

Now, in the past 8 months, I have gained 30 pounds (back to my old fighting weight…lol). I still don’t get enough sleep, but with my supplement and diet regimen and exercise program I manage with energy to spare. My kids have had a bunch of colds so far this season, and with the constantly changing weather, bronchitis and pneumonia have run rampant around this area. Yet I have not had the first sniffle so far, and feel strong as an ox. For the record, I’m fifty years young.

I feel like the changes I have made have been good ones, including the 30 pounds I’ve gained (mostly muscle). My first month of active PE’ing, my gains were respectable, though not phenomenal. So, I am wondering how you see the energy balance scenario applying in a case like mine, where I take tons of Vitamin C and have been actively gaining weight in an effort to improve my health and stamina (which it has done)??

In all likelihood, I will remain a poster child for Vitamin C. I would be willing to cut back on C for a period of time in order to make PE gains, if that were really necessary. However, I don’t know that it is, so far. The next 3-6 months should say a lot about whether a person taking large doses of C and gaining weight (the good kind) can still make good PE gains. I hope the answer, in my case is YES!!!

BTW, I am loving my Bib Starter!! Thanks for turning me on to hanging. I am up to 3 sets of 20 minutes at 8.8 lb. (4 Kg), 5 days a week, now.

I won’t be content until I’ve earned the name!

Well for the last few months I’ve been under some stress and have lost about 15 lbs of weight. I’ve been PE’ing fairly regularly and haven’t seen any gains lately. Now I’m starting to get back into shape and gaining weight again, i’ll be sure to note what effect this has on the unit.

Hmmmm I also cut the vitamin C completely (only multivitamins, very little OJ) . I can’t say its helped in the PE dept. My ligs are pretty damn strong and it’s hard for me to get them sore now a days. I’m not sure why. After I started the JAI’s I saw some gains and felt some soreness even measured 6.75 vs my normal 6.5 once but I haven’t seen that again! Hmmm, not sure how this is realted to the vit C and muscle loss.

I am really glad to here about your marriage. Keep on keeping on.

Bigjack, Tricky,

I am not saying anyone should not take Vit C or lose a lot of weight for the sake of PE. It is simply a theory based on very little data (me). The thought is, if the body is deprived of the ability to immediately heal the damage to collagenous tissues, the individual bonds will be easier to break, healed damage will not be a detriment to further breaks, and gains can come quicker and easier. Really, it is simply slowing down the healing process.

Vit C and energy are essential to the repair of collagenous tissues.

I don’t want anyone to get scurvy or become anorexic over PEing. Rather to far for the old bone, eh?

“I don’t want anyone to get scurvy or become anorexic over PEing. Rather to far for the old bone, eh?”

hehe, good one.

Do you think protein intake has any relation to girth gains? I know you need it for regular muscle gains, think it has some application here?

Started running pretty seriously in the beginning of June (25mi/week - a lot for me as a newbie runner). Saw first gains in the July and gains continued coming for two months, was still running at that time. Lost weight during those three months about 15lbs, and gained about 1/2” x 1/4”, which is a lot for me as a hard gainer. Now I haven’t really been running so seriously (even few weeks off totally) and haven’t seen much gains.

I used to do my PE routine almost every time after my runs.

What was the logic behid those gains? Probably the immune system doesn’t have so much time to fix injuries in the penis, because whole body is under heavy stress and recovering the big leg musclegroups was primary purpose I think. Because I lost some weight, I didn’t eat as much as I should’ve.

As I’m writing and thinking all this I think that I have to start really run a lot! ;)

That was my 1 cent.

Keep Gaining! :jelq:

When dieting were you still exclusively hanging, or had you switched over to work on girth? Did you have good girth gains during this time?

Assuming that witholding excesses of vitamin C, maintaining a negative caloric intake, etc. actually keeps ligs from strengthening, would these conditions also be beneficial to increasing girth?

Duh, hobby, but of course! Not necessarily. The penile ligs are somewhat unique in their composition, though similar to spinal ligaments. Nutritional conditions most favorable to elongating these ligs may not be ideal for stretching the tunica or increasing the mass within the CC. Or they could. I don’t know - just thinking out loud.

You may be on to something here. I had some good gains
on two seperate occasions while cutting. I attributed my gains to the yohimbine that was in my fat burner, but when I tried to take some yohimbine while not cutting, I had no luck. I think the reasoning here is similar to that of the idea behind taking extended breaks to break plateaus. Let the ligs and tunica weaken from less work, and then hit them in their weakened state. That being said, you probably stand a greater chance of injury in these states, but that’s what this whole game is about…
walking the fine line between gains and injury. So… what does that mean to us PE’ers from a practical standpoint????

Please forgive my tardiness. I will get to the PM sometime.

>When dieting were you still exclusively hanging, or had you switched over to work on girth? Did you have good girth gains during this time?<

After the initial gains, I was in a NEB (negative energy balance) most of the time, from there on out. I wanted to be thinner to go with the new unit. There were times, of course, where I was not in a NEB. By the time I was on girth maintanence, I was back to a PEB.

>Assuming that witholding excesses of vitamin C, maintaining a negative caloric intake, etc. actually keeps ligs from strengthening, would these conditions also be beneficial to increasing girth?<

I would assume so, because the tunica is made up of collagen also. The only thing restricting C and energy would do is slow the healing process of the collagenous tissues. I don’t think one would be favored over another.

>So… what does that mean to us PE’ers from a practical standpoint????<

Maybe take the RDA of Vit C, and if you need to loose weight, do so while PEing? Beats me really. But how many guys need to loose weight. This could be a damn fine reason to do it and get a bigger penis also.

I need to lose weight.

<------- You likey?

If you don't take the time to do the PE exercises how do you expect to gain? The fairy godmother of PE?

Ive been getting into shape lately (2 weeks now). My gains in the last 5 months(0.1) have been sad, and i belive a bad mental attitude and being extremely out of shape during this time added to the lack of gains. I will post updated stats nov 2nd and we will see.

Sept 2 2002 Bpel 6.8 Eg 5.5 Sept 2 2003 Bpel 7.6 Eg 6.0 Yeah i know...5 years..updating soon i hate mesuring...

Bump for Hog 6.5 and others who have not seen this.

I always notice a decrease in EQ when I diet ,meaning it “makes” my penis smaller . Also, infrequent erections, so I don’t know how that would help PE. Maybe if one is overweight by 20-30 pounds or more, it will make things better, by improving health markers , but for ones as me, being relatively lean and under-eating will f’ things up.

Starting stats: 6.4" / 5.6" Current Stats: 7.4" / 5.8" Short term goal: 7" / 6" Long term goal: 8" / 6.5"
