I just read this thread. I could not agree more about the major premise of the importance of flaccid length. I know in my heart the main reason that I am here is because in my teens some of my friends were 5” flaccid instead of 3-4” like me. We probably were not 1/2” apart in erect length and I probably was thicker than most. But since the head of their penis hung lower than their balls instead of turtling, I assumed they were “twice the man I was.”

Big Girtha, Great Post. I always find your input and stories a great source of inspiration. I myself am a “grower” - almost of a freakish nature. I was 6x5.5 and through my non-hard core PE’ing have hit 6.5x5.75. Flaccid and cold my unit is almost embarrassing, you would think I would have a 2.5” boner when erect.

I recently went through a divorce, relocated to the Orlando area from NY and have started on the process of reinventing myself. If you knew the entire story of my marriage of 16 years, this would be a huge achievement for me, and I want to do it. I’m sure Miss Prissy Pants whom made my life impossible with her controlling demands would have a knee jerk reaction to it, but maybe that’s what I want. I still have the desire to have her regret “what she threw away”, and maybe I’ll grow out of that eventually as my wounds heal - but in the meantime, it’s all about me, what I want, and the confidence I’ll gain from it.

OK from reading most of this post. I’ve gotten this into my head for increasing flaccid length. While sitting and sleeping use the “fowfer” method. While standing use weights (which I’ve heard of but never used). That sounds simple enough, but that would mean the weights would have to be on almost all day (exepct when I am PE’ing and sleeping). Can you do the “fowfer” method with the weights on? I tried the “fowfer” method last night in bed it hurt my balls a little bit either I wasn’t doing it right or I just need to get used to it. The only problem I see to use the “fowfer” method is when I’m in school; it won’t be easy to grab and tuck while I’m in the middle of class. I can try but it would be rather embarrassing to be caught with my hands down my pants hahahahhaa. Anyway where do I get weights? I’ve always thought of them as fishing line with the little led weights you put on them to sink the hook.

but the great problem with lead is that it is very toxic in contact with the skin.

Need to be coated very well.

Hi my name is Ryoma and um I am sorta new to this forum but never posted before. I’ve been doing some PE for almost 9 months now, mainly jelchs and some little clamping. I also have a couple of questions that I hope Big Girtha can answer if you have time.

1) What is turtling and how much does it affect your gains?
2) I just started clamping for about a month now and I bought the clamp from MontyP the one that looks like a mini blood pressure cuff. (Sorry I forgot the name of it) Is that considered 2 cable clamps? Because it’s pretty big.
3)I’ve also noticed that after I clamp now my penis begins to like shrivel sorta, the shaft part at least but the head stays pretty much almost the same. Is that supposed to happen?
4) What is edging and how is it done? And yes I did search the forum couldn’t find anything on how it is done >.<

Turtle No More

I used to turtle greatly. However, since on this site, I’ve picked up loads of hints. However, I found something recently that might be interesting to anyone in the same boat.

I had a large silicone sleeve from Monkeybar that frayed at the end. I clipped it off, rolled it and slipped it on to my penis. I wear it most of the day and time I’m not PEing. It does not give a problem with urinating and it perks the penis up so that it appears more predominately when you are dressed.

I’m sure others are doing this. Just a hint.

Big Gertha, I’m just curious what exactly inspired the objective of never turtling. Could you maybe point me to some sources/threads that indicate more growth occurs when the member isn’t turtled? To me it is intuitive enough that having member outstretched during growth might encourage the growth to occur more lengthwise/longitudinally and that in the case of a turtled member maybe growth would be given more encouragement to occur girthwise/laterally. However, what you clearly to feel is that whether or not member extended actually affects Overall growth and that a turtled dick doesn’t grow as much period. My intuition otherwise tells me that overall growth rate itself would be fixed ie independent of position of member. Please point me toward indications you have experienced that give you different impression.

Big Girtha is on a much needed (or mandated) break. I understand he can no longer walk through average-width doors without sending his penis through first.

On the subject of turtling, I think most everyone agrees keeping the penis in an extended state while healing from other PE activities is a good idea.

I don’t know that anyone has conclusive data about it. Further, there are many gainers who did not do this.

BG is talking about not letting it turtle. Using clamps and ADS as much as possible, lying on during sleep. Is this information/advice for everyone, newbies included?
