Using a PE device for hours > Burning sensation in the tip of the glans?

Using a PE device for hours > Burning sensation in the tip of the glans?

Hi.

Does using a PE device (Phallosan, traction etc.) for hours cause a burning sensation in the tip of the glans (where your stuff goes out) if you hold back urine? Does anyone experience the same and what could be the cause of it if not holding back fluids for too much time? Is it maybe reduced blood cause my glans pale after stop using a vacuum ADS but that’s about it and no problems or pain afterwards.

Any solutions for this or is it a well known side effect?

The general rule is to stop for pain/burning.

Are you taping or using a silicone glands cap?

BPEL: 5.5" --> 7.9" ; BPFSL: ~5.6" --> 8.5"

Hofferman- this is a well known side affect of using vacuum devices. The opening of the urethra in the glans is called the “meatus”. The burning sensation you describe is the swelling of the urethra pushing slightly against the meatus which gets irritated. It is a common occurrence and will go away shortly after the vacuum is removed. If you vacuum pump or use a vacuum cap on your penis you will experience this at some point. Some paleness is common.

Just for completeness I’ll add that urine entering the urethra is controlled at the bladder by the urethral sphincter, not the glans.

A pale glans, or pale anything, is an indication of lack of blood flow to that body part. The part will also likely feel cooler than the area near it. Reduced blood flow for a short term can be managed without issue. Extreme cold, extreme paleness and numbness are danger warnings for lack of blood flow. You need to pay attention to the signals your penis is giving you and learn how long you can use a vacuum device before you need to remove it and restore circulation. If in doubt, start with short durations and gradually increase as you learn the signals your penis is giving you. You only get one so take good care of it. Also if in doubt, take the device off and restore circulation by massaging your penis.

‘Firegoat rolls’ are a good method of restoring circulation to your penis and/or glans. Search for the term to learn more about it.

Initial: 7” BPEL; 6” NBPEL; 5.25” - 5.5” MEG

Current: 7-7/8” BPEL; 7-3/8” NBPEL; 8.5” BPFSL; 6.5” MEG; 6”x5” Flaccid.

Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.

Yes I’m using the silicone cap. It’s a little tricky cause of foreskin but the suction workes pretty well. When I’m done using I notice that half of my glans is pale tho.

Is there a way to check glans or at least presume if everything is still ok? Any signs? If burning sensation is tolerable, what else should I look for? I just started using a vacuum ADS and increase wearing duration +1h every day like the Phallosan instructions. I’m planning using it during sleep and that’s why I wanna make sure its ok and don’t accidentally necrose my dick.

Do not sleep with any PE device on your dick. That’s a good way to permanently damage it.

Are there any injury reports about sleep injuries with Phallosan? Thought it was possible with that cause it’s mentioned in the its instructions. Thanks for the warning if it’s not as safe tho.

Can you use Phallosan in sets and would it be as effective as continuous wearing during a day?

Do not PE while asleep. Remember you only get one penis.

32 quarters hit the nail on the head.

The edema of the urethral meatus makes it tender, which includes tenderness to the acidity of urine.

Reduce your time in vacuum and build up to longer times and/or higher pressures gradually, giving your tissues time to adapt and strengthen to tolerate the trauma.
